Dharris89
After watching some diorama videos on U-Tube I decided to give it a try. I had a box of models that were junk anyway. I stripped the old paint, repainted and detailed it to look like its an old junker just rotting away in someone's back yard. One quarter has been replaced while the rest of it is pretty rusty. The platform is a 1:18 scale case and I built the fence out of balsa wood. I may add an old garage once I figure out how to do that too. Let me know what you think. Thanks. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/photo1_zps7c97d876.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/photo3_zps4635b4d4.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/photo2_zpsb0989152.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/photo4_zps64ec87a0.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/photo5_zpsb8e2f99b.jpg

ImUrOBGYN
Super awesome. I love these things and have been considering doing a couple featuring some hot wheels I've collected. I've been thinking of a portion of windy two lane bordered by trees from a train set that are perfect size. I've also thought of a 1/4 strip diorama with two cars at night using led's. The windy road one will be for a model I'm currently completing. I wish I didn't loathe painting so much.... Have you seen this site? http://lamleydlm.blogspot.com/ Do some browsing. They have many, many posts of people customizing various cars and showing many displays/dioramas. Not just of Hot Wheels.
Dharris89
Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I don't build much anymore but it's a good distraction when you're stressed. Christian, I will check out that blog.
