DaddyBuiltRacing
Josh - what was pollack, etc saying? Pollack said OSU has the most impressive win of teams 4-7. Also said the loss to Va Tech isn't as bad considering they beat Duke and have been competitive in at least 5 other games (losing all by 5 or less). Van Pelt said if Barrett isn't in NYC for the Heisman ceremony then throw the award in the trash. Kanell argued that OSU will be in a conference championship game while the others are sitting at home.

2 Sweet
Here are some odds on the next UF HC... thought it was interesting. Hugh Freeze 5/1 would be sweet, but don't think he'll leave Miss Brian Kelly 6/1 no way in hell UF goes after Kelly, thank God Bob Stoops 7/1 he doesn't want UF so it's a moot point Jim Mora 9/1 meh. I doubt it Mike Gundy 10/1 might be the leading candidate, he's ok Rich Rodriguez 12/1 UF wants no part of Rich Rod thankfully Steve Spurrier 25/1 love him but he's old, he'll retire at SC Jim McElwain 30/1 good chance, probably my personal favorite Gary Patterson 50/1 I like him, decent possibility Dan Mullen 100/1 nope, doesn't get along with the AD Gus Malzahn 100/1 don't think he's leaving Auburn but I would be cool with it Mike Shanahan 250/1 no no no Thought Mullen would be higher and did not expect Freeze to be #1. Mullen took a lot of heat from fans and boosters when he was Florida's OC, there's probably a sour taste in his mouth. Jeremy Foley (AD) doesn't seem to like him much. Mullen is a great coach but I don't see him coming back. A lot of rumors about Todd Graham (ASU) being a candidate, who IMO is a total douche. He pulled a Petrino and quit Pitt after one year, took a flight to Arizona and sent a text to the AD. The coward wasn't even man enough to tell his players and coaches. Unless you went to the college and have school spirit you become a bandwagon fan for any team. I've been a Florida fan since kindergarten. I guess if I'm a bandwagoner as a 5-year-old then so be it
BStowers023
How and why is Wisconsin (8-2) behind Auburn (7-3) when Wisconsin just beat a top 15 team by 4 touchdowns scoring 56 unanswered points, while auburn lost to a top 15 team 34-7. Where is the fucking logic in this?

1fast5gp
Unless you went to the college and have school spirit you become a bandwagon fan for any team. How many of you attended OSU and graduated from there? Wasn't it just last year that you said that you had no loyalties, your fiancee was a Bama fan and you were rooting for Auburn. Now you are a hardcore Alabama fan. You don't become a fan like that over night unless you jump on the bandwagon. Many of these guys didn't go to Ohio State. FYI Ohio State is my Alma mater. But I was an Ohio State fan before I attended Ohio State. I grew up in Columbus. Many of the guys here grew up in Columbus or lived in Columbus for a long time. Ohio State is a home town team. It is definitely not the same as jumping on the Alabama bandwagon because your wife said so.

Where is the fucking logic in this? Why is Nebraska behind Missouri? Nebraska is 2 losses to top 15 teams. Mizzou has 1 loss to a top 15 team, and 1 loss to INDIANA!!! Why is Georgia in front of MSU? MSU has 2 losses to No.2 and No.6 team in the country. Georgia has 2 losses to UNRANKED teams. It's SEC Logic!!!

That is a legit question. If I were MSU, I would be decrying this. On the flip side, I will be pulling for UGA hardcore in the rest of their games. Them winning the SEC would just totally wreck shit for the committee, and this needs to break quickly in order for us to progress to where we all believe it actually needs to be. Aaron
Aren't they taking the "wins or losses" based on the ranking of the teams when the games were played? If not, seems a flawed system. We certainly weren't 6th when we played MSU.
Orion
Aren't they taking the "wins or losses" based on the ranking of the teams when the games were played? If not, seems a flawed system. We certainly weren't 6th when we played MSU. There has been talk of that, but many of the pundits have been saying that doing it that way is ridiculous for obvious reasons. Example: when A&M trounced SC on opening night, SC was highly ranked and considered a dark horse NC contender. It had a big effect on A&M's ranking at the time. We now know that SC is a fraud, and further, that A&M are as well. That counted as a "quality win" then, but it wouldn't now. Another example: TCU beat KState a little while back, and thus, KState dropped a few spots. Baylor will play KState in the future, and if they win, they will be beating the same team, albeit a lower ranked same team. The general consensus is that that win SHOULD count equally for both teams, regardless of what the ranking was at the time for KState. Our loss to VT, had VT continued to win and become a contender in the ACC, while bad at the time, would now be considered a "quality loss". As that isn't what has happened, it isn't. Although, their win over Duke helps the case a little bit.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. And no. If you want Ohio State to have a better shot of making the playoff, and you don't want to see 3 SEC teams in the playoff, then you should pull for Georgia to get smoked by Georgia Tech and not make the title game or, if they do, to get absolutely manhandled by whoever they play. If they win the SEC, Georgia will get in, the other team from the SEC West who didn't get into the CG game (Miss State, probably) will get in (because they'd be undefeated and ranked top 4 all year long), and the loser of the CG game (Alabama, probably) might STILL get in because of how highly they've been ranked lately, how the committee will consider them to only have two "quality losses," etc. Georgia needs to die a fiery death, ASAP. Zx2guy19
A 2 loss team won't get in...almost guaranteed. And Miss State isn't undefeated brotha man...if they do not make SEC title game (and aren't champs obviously), they don't get in. I am still adamant that it will be: 1) Alabama 2) Oregon 3) FSU 4) OSU Assuming all teams win out, that will be the final 4. We are DEFINITELY on the committee's radar. That's what we want. Orion
Tilley, see above. UGA will not make it in. If they win the SEC CG, that means that the only one loss team in the SEC would be Miss St (assuming they win out) as Bama would have lost to UGA in the CG. So, now the committee's only choice would be to leave the SEC champ out in favor of an SEC team that didn't even play for the conference championship, OR to include an SEC champ that has TWO losses to UNRANKED teams OVER several one loss teams. Not happening.

I really, really want all of this to be true. Believe me, I do. However, I fear (perhaps due to an irrational underlying paranoia involving all things SEC, ESPN, conspiracies, etc.) that my doomsday scenario will be realized and three teams from the SEC get it. For a moment, humor my paranoid delusions and consider the following: - Oregon ends up losing to Oregon State. Wheeee, there they go, tumbling from the top. - if Oregon doesn't stumble in the Civil War, they could still easily lose in the PAC12 title game. Welp, there's two losses for them, and one came late, so, well, bye Oregon - either of these scenarios opens up a spot in top 4 - Ohio State loses one it's next three games. They could easily lose to Wisky in B10 title game. Any loss, bye bye Ohio State - they won't even sniff the top 4. Therefore, another spot gets opened up. -Florida State could easily lose any of its remaining games. I say easily because Florida State looks very pedestrian (and certainly not like the invulnerable team that rolled through all competition last year). You know that if Florida State loses the committee will definitely toss them from the top 4. In fact, with a loss Florida State might be banned from all rankings for like a year. - then you have the perfect little SEC stew going on. Oh, what's this - two SEC teams already in top 4, and they've essentially been camped out there all year? Yup, there you have mighty Alabama and might Miss State. Boy, they look good. Oh, wait, what's this - a mighty fine Ole Miss siting here in the top 10 and, wheeeee, them ole dirty Georgia dawgs right there in the top 10 too! Miss State beats Ole Miss - HOLY FUCK MISS STATE IS SOOO GOOD! Ole Miss beats Miss State - HOLY FUCK OLE MISS IS SOOO GOOD! Georgia beats Alabama in title game - HOLY FUCK GEORGIA IS SOOOO GOOD AND ALABAMA, WELL, WE KNEW THEY WERE GOOD SO THEY ARE STILL SOOOO GOOD. This is the part where I start to cut myself.
