I'm selling my beautiful CX bike. I wanted to get back into biking and thought this would be a great starting point and I was wrong, it just wasn't the right bike for me. My loss will be your gain because this is a FANTASTIC bike for the price. What you see in this link is the exact bike that I'm selling.

Use: Cyclocross bikes are specifically made for - get this - Cyclocross racing. It's a rather insane looking form of racing that I have no interest whatsoever in, but rather I wanted a road bike that I could take off road. My gf has a beautiful Trek road bike and this was more than capable of keeping up with her speedy ass. I'll admit I didn't like the way it rode off pavement. I much prefer the feeling of a mountain bike, which is what I'm looking to replace this with. I thought I'd get used to the geometry and that I'd be able to adapt myself to this bike. Not the case. Thus, I only rode this bike a total of about 50 miles, really not far at all. It's as close to brand new as you can get.

Facts: It's all on the linked website, but the quick rundown is it's an aluminum frame bike with carbon front fork, Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes, 20-speed Shimano Tiagra components (shifters/brakes/derailleurs), SRAM chain, FSA Omega 175mm crank.

PRICE: I paid $1200 for this bike in early 2014 at Baer Wheels in Clintonville (great business), which really doesn't matter to you because what do you care what kind of a bath I'm taking. I'd like to sell for $900, which for a relatively unused bike of this caliber I believe is a great price. Let me know if you feel differently. Additionally, I'd be open to trading for a hardtail MTB, but would like to get some cash out of it as well, so let me know what you've got and we'll come to an agreement.

I can provide pictures upon request, it's currently stored in my cool, dry basement.

Man that is a badass bike and a good deal.

Sucks. I can't comfortably ride a 58cm bike, which makes sense because IIRC you're about a foot taller than me.

GLWS, somebody needs to pick this up.

Thanks for the kind words.

It really is a ridiculously nice bike. I spent all last winter researching bike brands, components, styles, etc and settled on this. It'd be awesome as a pure road bike if you just swap a different set of tires on it, though it's perfectly capable as is.
