oh8sti
Guys, Most of us know what its like to drool over a car you can't afford. Well tomorrow I'm buying one of those cars I've wanted for years, but my dad wouldn't buy me :lolguy: . Now I'm on my own making my own money and can buy whatever I want ( :dumb: well, if my wife tells me I can). Im flying out to the frozen tundra of Minneapolis bright and early tomorrow to meet my new to me 2005 Merc E55. Im beyond excited to say the least. Ive been watching this car online for a few months and finally pulled the trigger. I have some plans for this beast with parts already on their way. Should be a fun spring hurting feelings :masturboy: My goals are for 500whp and 600+wt. :fuckyeah: Stats: 2005 E55 AMG 73,500 Miles Clean title Extensively documented from each owner PPI'd this morning with flying colors. Just needs fuel Comes with 2 sets of wheels (winter/summer) Bright Silver Pics the owner took for me with the winter wheels/tires put on it http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/oh8ti/FC2A513D-E5A9-40CD-AD4A-78B6B77E6A84_zpsokvn1df5.jpg http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/oh8ti/39466B16-82A5-4330-A3F3-771EA5C67415_zpsrbx8qa5m.jpg http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/oh8ti/214882F3-303B-46B6-A630-9172A5988A5A_zpskeiwgbwo.jpg http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/oh8ti/C9F456DA-5C0A-4B97-979C-8A47E33A901C_zpsnw85ikd6.jpg I know I'm a few years late to this party, but I thought its about time to crank the music back up on this one. Once I get back in town and start making some HP Ill update this thread. It can kinda be a build thread of sorts. ****************************************************************************************************** Update: I wanted to keep the theme of updated, but yet still be a little bit of a sleeper. So, I did the wheels and E63 front end conversion (updated front bumper) + a few other maintenance items, power mods to come in the next few weeks. I ditched the wrap idea since the paint is in such good shape and looks really good cleaned up. Wheels are CLS55 staggered 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rears finished in satin gun metal all wrapped in Nittos http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/oh8ti/9D1D88D8-2713-47AC-A19E-E93BDA145AAB_zpsrgnlgrtm.jpg http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/oh8ti/44DA541F-1283-455D-927E-06BA6F531FFD_zpsawtu5akg.jpg http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu130/oh8ti/631BE2D7-7FAD-4FD0-9BE2-EDE869A35BA8_zpstssnb0ad.jpg Edited March 18, 2015 by Panduh 3/18 Update

jeffro
Que? Minnesota has lots of salt. Any rust prevention measures taken? Nice ride btw. Nothing wrong with buying an older ride. Id like to own a cobra some day.

oh8sti
Minnesota has lots of salt. Any rust prevention measures taken? Nice ride btw. Nothing wrong with buying an older ride. Id like to own a cobra some day. Oh yeah forgot to mention the car was minimally driven in the snow and in the far north they dont use salt. Its sand/kitty litter shit. The car has a full paint protection on the front. The current owner has a 4 mile round trip to and from work and only gets up to 35mph (I googled it and confirmed haha). So to answer your question, I'm not worried in the least about where the car is. The PPI that was done went into extreme detail about all my concerns including "salt" or "sand" or kitty litter shit on the roads.

-Alex-
Badass cars. Sounds like it'll be a bad ride, although I don't really care for the matte wrap fad.
Mojoe
WAAAAAAAY better than what I was thinking was going on. Tax time; you post all your toys for sale. I was a little worried, but didn't want to say anything. I have always liked the E55's a lot. Congrats. Did the STi sell?

Like I'm way behind on taxes and owe people money :lolguy: I bought the Hummer in Dec. and sold the STi in late Jan. I knew all along I was planning on getting an E55 or E63. Once I decided on the E55 I knew I would want Mod money. So, bye bye guns and hello 500whp. Everything for this car is retarded expensive lol but thats the nature of the beast. Congrats great looking car The 63 isn't as mod friendly and doesn't seem to have the after market that the 55 has. That and I was able pick this car up in the mid teens....so it was a no brainier. If you have any question about the car feel free to pm me. 500whp and 600tqu is easy in these thing. Budget for gas and rear tires.

The 09+ CTSV is still on my short list and the E55 is a stepping stone I imagine haha.

It's been a few months since I looked, but I don't recall ever seeing any less than low 20s, and that was private owners with average miles.
