caseyctsv
Well multiple writers have predicted the ZL1 will be faster on a track than the GT350R, but it looks like GM is not taking any chances. I am anxious to see what power plant is in this one but it is likely the LT4. http://www.caranddriver.com/news/2018-chevrolet-camaro-z-28-spy-photos-news

Dammit Charlie
I've read rumors of a 700+hp GT500 in the not so distant future.
Got-Boost?
Looks cool and all, but needs to ditch the lt4 for a 600 hp na 7.0 They couldn't get it to pass emissions, that's why the Z06 got a supercharger.

Aaron
First 6th gen that I think looks good. I'd buy a white one and wrap it with digital camo like pictured. Love the wheels and agressive look though.

AudiOn19s
Fully developed aero package (wing , splitter, dive planes) looks to be the business, HUGE rubber...this is an exciting looking car. IDK what the HP number is...make it 3200-3400 lbs please.

RyM3rC
I'd think 3700lbs is more realistic... 3700? isn't that what a stang is now? add on turbos, plumbing, aero bits, even bigger wheels and it will be a hellcattish 11,000 lbs. You'll have to plan your route ahead to make sure you're not exceeding rural bridge weight limits. Driveways will need reinforced to prevent cracking and sagging. Mustang-edition heavy duty floor jacks will be dealer provided. Tugboats will have to escort you into and out of garages. Probably be 200 lbs lighter :gabe:
BigOxley
Damn, remember when 300+HP was a lot in our minds? Back when cars didn't weigh the same as light trucks? Seriously, these companies need to focus on weight reduction. If they need an example, please reference the AR 4C

Cordell
I'm just glad Chevy isn't letting these things die. All the American car companies need to work on their crash technology so they can handle a crash without adding 1k pounds to do it.
zeitgeist57
Aside from Corvette, I'm so over Chevrolet: they have a few tricks up their sleeve they pull out only when competition forces them to, and THEN they do a half-assed job of it. At least Cadillac has more style with their GM performance chassis tech. The new Camaro's seem to be good on paper and when I watch Head2Head on MotorTrend Online - but the styling in person is so blah and the interior dimensions are very weird and clunky. Camaro VS Mustang? Mustang all the way. However, for the money I'd be happier with a used CTS-V or ATS-V.

Cordell
Are reinforced chassis why cars weigh so much anymore? I honestly think crash test standards have a lot to do with the weight on the traditional pony cars, however other manufactures have accomplished these goals with out adding a ton of weight. So is it a case of Detroit automakers being lazy and just adding structure, or something else? I'm certainly not the expert but it makes sense to me. LPFSTheFett
Damn, remember when 300+HP was a lot in our minds? Right?!? My 97 Camaro was a limited edition 330hp... Now that's nothing lol.

Dr. Apex
The rear tires look enormous!! I kinda like the rear wing, still ugly overall but respect for what the package is. I do agree they should focus on reducing weight to improve the performance, look at the new Miata.
cdk 4219
Are reinforced chassis why cars weigh so much anymore? Much larger cars than previously, more electronics, much heavier wheels tires, larger brakes, larger transmissions, more airbags, all that with safety improvements add up to a heavy car. Dr. Apex
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kur-PgsZJxw Whoops....I know the GT350's had some close calls on photo, don't know if they had any wrecks but its not surprising on this track.
