yup. A Boss 9 is the most coveted mustang in all of mustangdom. There were 857 made in 1969, and restored ones sell for between $400,000-500,000

Considering they make every part to repair an early mustang body, and they sold more boss 429 crate motors than boss 9 cars, it wouldn't be hard to restore that shell back to at least a $200,000-$300,000 car. It wouldn't be cheap either, but you can still get boss 9 heads new if you are willing to pay.

I could see someone lowballing, getting the car for $65K and feeling like they got a deal. All the value in the car is in the trim tag, vin number, and any supporting paperwork (like a Marti report verifying that the car is a real boss - which anybody buying that car would get).
