Lauren
I've been looking for an xterra, cayenne or touareg for Months. Prices for touaregs a s Cayennes were super low three Months ago. In the past Month they rebound died. I had my eye on this two owner 04 vr6 touareg with oy 134k on it for a few months. The seller had a lien on it and wouldn't come off his price. Well I finally wore him down and he accepted my low ball offer of $2100. Drove it home yesterday and went to work. I had already ordered the small parts that it needed. So new pcv valve went on and the brake booster hoses went on. After replacing the egg is mint. Runs flawlessly and really enjoyable to drive. I bought some 19" late model touareg wheels from this place in Powell so I threw those on. Tomorrow I'm going to cincy to get some black cayenne 22's for it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/zm2fgV8u9Xs4DnjX2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/qO1adPYA0crmfaD33 https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ewp6rVdBCCTn4IeS2
HotCarl
So the only issue with the car was that it needed a new pcv valve and some brake booster hoses? I assume it was running shitty prior to that? Pretty good deal for $2100
2 Sweet
Idk anything about those things but it looks like a great daily, especially for the price. That interior looks really nice
Lauren
It had a rough idle and when you pushed the brake pedal it was hard as a rock. The pcv valve was split and the brake vac hoses were split causing massive vac leak. Once I fixed both things it runs like new. Super solid. Ive ordered new plugs and coil packs and going to do a few oil changes to clean it out but other then that its ready to go

RyM3rC
my preference is smallest wheels the brakes will allow, with sidewall for winter-duty. groce looking forward to see how it works out for you long-term, hope you got a good one

zeitgeist57
Love the deal on that Twat-rag, but I would've stopped at the 19s as well. Those rattle-canned 22s are trying waaaaaay too hard and not coming up with anything in the style arena. Be Lauren: pick up sub-$2500 "winter beater", throw 2 sets of CraigsList-tacular wheels for snow duty. I have cayenne wheels with blizzaks mounted for winter. These are summers Hold the phone....you've got 3 sets of wheels/tires?!?

zeitgeist57
So, you're going to flip a set of wheels for profit?
Lauren
Of course. For three times what I paid.
Lauren
And the black wheels look much better in person. They don't photo very well
zeitgeist57
Those are Audi Q7 wheels, BTW. Pics do look better on a desktop than my phone. Did you already sell the wheels for 3x your purchase price?

iwashmycar
CL ad with no price ? https://columbus.craigslist.org/wto/d/22-cayenne-touareg-q7-wheels/6347507358.html
Red Beard
Good deal man. Gotta love cheap fixes. Those rims though..... Idk loopy. Gerg has a point, the wheel gap may be what is throwing it off.
Lauren
The 22's are for sale. I like how it looks but the ride is t great. The 19's were to small and 22's are a bit big. So going with some 20/21's with more sidewall.
zeitgeist57
The 22's are for sale. So...you didn't sell them for 3x your asking price? :gabe:
