10phone2
I've owned and built a lot of fun shit. All were great for one reason or another. Not sure I can pick one as the "all out" favorite, but the Colt V1 in one way or another directed the rest of my life. When I was actively racing it from 03-06, it was about the most day to day car-fun I have had. We where literally out racing 2 or more times every week during the summer. Multiple trips to C bus to battle team Linn/Tilley/Sam. Mutile IFO wins where we would take the cash right to the clubs and rage all weekend. Crazy to say, but crashing was quite the reality check-and in turn it free'd up my weekends, which led me to bartend- which led me to meet my wife whom was a co-worked with the same ambition, and eventually my career in banking though a chance meeting that would never have happened if I was still out in Mexico every weekend The car was part of so many good memories. Although I have had a few faster and many nicer, I can honestly say my life literally would not be the same without it. Salute' Well played sir. great story. CRed05
Ok as a 3S (3000GT and Stealth term) I've got to ask, what makes you miss this car? I've driven the wheels off my '92 RT/TT for more than a decade and a half but I still don't feel much of an "emotional" connection to it, possibly due to the terror I always know is coming when something snaps/spins/breaks. Hmmm...mine was solid. After I upgraded the transfer case to a 25 spline version, it never gave me any issues. I think I had to replace an oxygen sensor and that was about it. Oh, and the driveshaft carrier bearings. It was just fun to drive, I liked the looks of it and it had pretty good power, I had stock WRX turbos on it...forget what they were called. I was never afraid to drive it hard. I don't know how many launches I did in that thing
-Alex-
My initial thought was my C5Z. Just an all around fun car that looked great and sounded amazing, but the more I think about it, my favorite just might be the CJ7 I owned for just a few months last year. Bought it cheap from my uncle and did a budget restoration on it, then took many, many warm weather cruises with my wife and our 5 year old car nut. Had a ton of fun in it, made some great memories and have really been thinking about that Jeep a lot lately. I only sold it because it had to be kept outside and I didn't want to see the weather get to it.

Since ironing out most of the issues it's been a very solid car that I've been able to beat the HELL out of with DD/AutoX/Mid Ohio and still going strong... even still you always have this thing in the back of your brain that sounds like an evil greedy giggle. pontiacfreak142
Hard choice. The firebird was my first love. Had/have alot of fun in that car, as well as met alot of great people because of it. The GTO is just an amazing car to drive. Rides pretty nice, handles well enough to have fun on some back roads, the seats are amazing and best of all, ls powa lol Car i hate the most is probably scotts camaro. I used to be one of those guys that said "i dont need no LS!", Then scott made me trade him cars for one pass out at trails and i realized the error of my ways. Hence why i spent 13k on another car that spends most of its time in the garage
cstmg8
Not sure it's my favorite car, but it was my first real project, so it holds a special place. Found my old car domain page too! L67 swapped 91 GTP. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Second Gen
Mine would be my 1989 Turbo II (S5/FC/RX7). This was my first opportunity to run a turbo on a RX7 and only mildly modified. Car was a blast.. Car: Stock port motor Singled Precision turbo (6266 I think) Larger injectors SAFC High flow exhaust (Racing Beat) Front mount intercooler & piping Racing Beat springs and Tokico shocks on all corners Aftermarket Konigg (SP?) wheels (Kumho tires were junk, but spun well) Tried pulling down some really old photos from Myspace (Yeah I know) and they will not download. Zx2guy19
Crikey....found my old car domain too. This was by far my favorite car. Highest the car ever got to was 322whp/296wtq. Fun as hell but went through transmissions like it was going out of style. I think put 5-6 in there once I cross over 300hp. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2389376/1999-ford-zx2/ PS: it didn't look like that for long. Body kit was painted and it was dericed as I got older. zeitgeist57
CarDomain and old car forum posts (that always pop up when you do Google searches for specific make/model fixes) are going to be hilarious to read years from now when these older models will be obsolete
Alex L.
Every project I've had and sold I regret in one way, shape, or form. 2001 GSXR 600: graduation present to myself, rode it one summer, sold it for car parts. 1986 Buick Regal T-Type: great ambitions for a nice street sleeper, thrust bearings went out, pulled engine with intent of doing an LS/turbo swap, sold it after realizing I didn't have the money to bring my plans to fruition. 1992 Eagle Talon TSi: Rusty 6/5/4 car, but low miles and surprisingly reliable. The most fun winter car I've ever had. It had a destroyed 14B, Thermal exhaust, Spec clutch, and a set of Hankook snow tires, and was absolutely unstoppable in the snow. I sold it after a year or two to buy car parts. Still in the stable are my '92 SC300 and '94 Supra, neither of which I'll ever get rid of. The SC300 has far too much sentimental value, as it was my first car, first turbo project, first welding/fab canvas, and, realistically, couldn't be sold for enough to recoup investment value. It's hard to pick a true favorite, but the Supra makes the most sense to apply this label to. It's gone from a fairly mild street car to whatever the hell it is now. It has the benefit of being able to be sold for a reasonable amount of money, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to do so unless truly dire straits presented themselves. There are so many special, one-off parts on it, so many good memories building it and racing it, and, as much as I joke about it being the bane of my existence, so much sentimental value. Those who have known me for long enough know how often I've changed the car around, and the latest iteration that's underway now will be the wildest and most unique yet, and hopefully the "final" one. Draco-REX
I've had a number of cars I've liked for one reason or another. But I think the BRZ when it was working was the best car I've owned. It was everything I wanted in a car at the time. Superb handling, responsive power, and good looks. I thought the Exige would be an upgrade but it just didn't grab me like that BRZ did. There's one other car I want to try, but if it doesn't do it for me, I might pick up another BRZ. I miss the CTS-V too.....

Zx2guy19
Holy ricer batman!!! 322 wheel must have been quick though. Oh yeah man, I started this car at 15 in 2005- the height of the river times (maybe a year or 2 after). Bought it as an automatic and converted it to a manual and everything. The car was stupid fast. But let’s be real- no escort was built for that power no matter how much I put into it. It couldn’t handle the power for any more than 2-3k miles at a time
