nurkvinny
What are the odds that a leak on a 6.0L in an 03 2500 GMC near the rear of engine, passenger side... is NOT an intake gasket?
caseyctsv
I don’t know my HD Chevy pickups but isn’t that the LQ4? If so, the intake is dry from what I recall.
xlr8tn
Cross over o ring?
STEVE-O
Cross over o ring? This is my guess as well, could be a freeze plug. The coolant crossover is much more likely to be the culprit
PsychoticGaming
Most likely the crossover has corroded and started to leak, sometimes you get lucky and its just the o-ring but being in Ohio....
nurkvinny
I have never even heard of this crossover. I hope that's what it is. All the Googling and Youtubing I did had me certain it was a gasket. Will update thread tomorrow

Cordell
Does it have iron heads? If so it's likely the heads. If not then I'd bet on the coolant stem port in the head, or the coolant plug on the head. The intake doesn't have coolant in it.
cdk 4219
I believe only the 2000 and prior had the different crank and iron heads
nurkvinny
They're aluminum. Leak got worse last night. Popped hood and could see some coolant burning off the front of the engine. Sooo, I may be "lucky" that it is the water pump and coolant is running along the shield and finally dripping towards rear. Sometimes it is the pump seal as well.

I sealed mine with honda bond :dumb: either way its likely an easy/cheap fix.

No coolant runs through LS style engine intakes.
nurkvinny
Winner is water pump, running along skid plate, dripping from rear of plate.
