TTQ B4U
So Evan here on CR moved the world of Subaru's to potentially the future with his new Model 3. Still riding on 30 day tags he wanted to put it through My New Car Prep package and went with the Gyeon Syncro coating package I offer. With the shape of this car, it's going to shed water crazy making clean ups a snap. Wheels and Glass were all coated as well and should perform amazingly well in rain. Harder to see with a camera but the tri-color pearl paint is done very well and definitely comes alive in the sun. For those interested, the car is nearly identical in size as my S4 and even my Q50. Interior is a bit smaller that the two in the back seat area but the fronts are super comfy for sure. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/167655757/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/167655754/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/167655755/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/167655758/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/167655756/original.jpg
RyM3rC
Nice job getting it cleaned up. How was the panel fit on that one, pics look better than some. Can't stop looking at the fender gap. Holyfawk!
SpaceGhost
Glad he removed the aero wheel caps. Friend had those on the car and I was like :barf:.

Can't stop looking at the fender gap. Holyfawk! fitment was excellent. rear window seals on pillars leak though. small fish eyes in the paint here and there too. Not terrible but they are there. gap isn't as bad in person for some reason. my eyes are drawn to the sidewalls. I'd go with a lower profile 19 or 20 to fix both but it would impact the ride for sure. Glad he removed the aero wheel caps. Friend had those on the car and I was like :barf:. agree. when I saw the aero covers at first I was like

zeitgeist57
THAT’S what the wheels look like under the factory Aero wheel-covers?!? Looks great!!! Big fan of Tesla...car looks awesome! Love seeing Model 3’s rolling around the streets...
iwashmycar
So I read those covers give 10% increase in range!? I'd leave those SOBs on there lol. Plus I think its a generally ugly car, the bizarre covers are more fitting than some Miata-style racy looking wheel. Regardless, very nice work Tim. Looks killer, as that white really glows in daylight!
zeitgeist57
So I read those covers give 10% increase in range!? I'd leave those SOBs on there lol. 1) I call shenanigans. 2) If you dropped it 2" in ride height, I'd betcha you'd get similar range back in wind management at highway speeds. :gabe: Saw another one on 315 this morning - silver with gray racing(?) stripes. Only problem I'm noticing is that the LED DRL's are burning out. My FiL's Model S has the drivers' side LED "eyebrow" super dim already and the one on 315 had a much dimmer passenger side eyebrow. Obviously not the worst thing, but since I'm guessing many LED lighting elements in modern cars aren't replaced by a $3.50 Philips bulb....... SpaceGhost
Owner I spoke to said only 5%, and he just drove to Cinci and back without them, and he said he got the exact mileage Tesla quotes for the car with them on so....
Fiji ST
Yeah, I'd rock it without the wheel covers. 5-10% really isn't all that much when you think about it.
Sonjuro
Just wanted to say thanks to Tim for doing an amazing job on the car. I didnt care about the claimed range gain by the wheel covers even though I dont think they look that terrible on the white model 3. I've put around 1100 miles on the car so far and it's one of the more fun cars I've driven in awhile. If anyone has any questions or anything I'm more than happy to answer them since there aren't many Model 3's riding around yet.
SpaceGhost
I drove my friends Model 3 yesterday, that glass roof is pimp, the sound system rocks, and that electric immediate torque is a drug. Holy shit those are way faster than I thought, and it’s not the performace model. That 30mph-70mph pull is a great feeling.
