Johny Utah
Will these cvts last for 200,000 miles?

STEVE-O
What he said I’m shocked when you get a cvt to last past 100k anymore
Johny Utah
That’s pretty sad then. Why would anyone buy one since they dont last?
Johny Utah
A 2017 Accord cvt with 82,000 is no good to buy then.
iwashmycar
I dont think a 2017 anything with 82000 is a good buy

Red Beard
Only saving grace here is it is likely that 90% of that is highway driving in top gear (or close to it). So may not be as much wear on the cvt as one would thing.

B3NN3TT
That’s pretty sad then. Why would anyone buy one since they dont last? Because people who buy appliance cars like these don't keep them around past the warranty period. And people who buy used appliance cars like these don't do any homework. spankis
As far as CVTs go, hondas appears to be one of the best. Wife's CR-V has it, so we'll see.
Red Beard
Or it could’ve been someone’s Uber car. This is also a probability..... Either way, I would run unless you can get a stupid low deal on it.
Johny Utah
It was a Accord sport for 14,800. To bad it’s not a touring V6 with the reg 6 speed auto.

If you want a manual trans I will probably be selling mine in a few months. It’s a 2013 Accord Sport with around 68k and 6MT. It runs great but I found another Accord I will probably switch to in Spring-ish.

I’m going back to a V6 and getting butt warmers again. Definitely first world problems.
RyM3rC
the CVT accords are awful. I can drive one for about 3 feet before it's so miserably depressing I just try to break the car and thrash it to death. My work has 3 of em, and they're not totally unusable by 30k like the mazda 6s were, but they're also more bland and unengaging. than an auto mazda 6. fuuuuuuuu :fuuuu:
