Nice! SoCal transplant myself. I was never a fan of Angeles Crest; had a squid almost take me off trying to pass a bunch of bikes using my lane. Not for the beginner and definitely too crowded on the weekends. Lots of open road here.

:welcome:

I did the ride once and it was fun but scary. There were so many roads to ride north of LA it was awesome.

N. Ky?!?!? Damn isnt that like 3 hrs away?

I guess I was spoiled back in SoCal. I used to live 10 minutes from Angeles Forest Hwy. That road scared me though...Ive only been riding for 5 months.

Hi, welcome to a Newbie from a Newbie.... :-)

We just got stationed at Wright Pat too. We have gotten in touch with the Wright riders and will probably go to our first Wright Riders social on tuesday.

We go to Competition Accessories for gear. It is the largest MC supplier in the area. It is in Springfield, about 30 min from Beavercreek.

your new to the area so I wont so thats a total fail but its a total fail. competition is priced to the high side on just about everything, not to say I have never bought anything there but its worth the trip to pony or a internet store

I was stationed at Edwards AFB up in the antelope valley in lancaster/palmdale (1 hr north of LA). Now Im at Wright-Patt. Been riding for about 5 months now. I never made it down to the anaheim area unfortunately...didnt want to fight the LA traffic.

Why would you leave SoCal for Ohio?

Welcome! A few here from Southern California, you'll actually meet 'em if you get your ass to a bike nite or two!:)

If the fucking weather ever cleared up I might make it out...

It was actually decent this afternoon. Went and checked out the area a bit on the bike.

we used to spend many a weekend oct to april up in the lancaster/high desert area riding dirt during the year.. miss the dry lakes bed cause it made it easy to introduce riding to our kids.

Why'd we move to ohio? i like to call it spousal relocation. i made a trip here before he closed the deal though. i had to check out cbus for myself bc we'd done it before to southern texas without checking it out first --and i was back to san diego within 8 months (it was that bad... don't go to south texas. its a complete shithole). Hope you adjust ok to the midwest. took my oldest son and i about a year realistically.
