Casper
Would anyone be interested in this two day ride around Ohio? Thinking meet Friday night in Cinci, leave Saturday morning. Stay a little past half way Saturday night, finish in Cinci Sunday. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=I-71+N&daddr=US-52+E+to:US-52+E+to:Co+Rd+4%2FEtna-Waterloo+Rd+to:OH-7+N+to:Market+St+to:Hilight%2FOH-26+N+to:Belmont+Centerville+Rd%2FOH-147+W%2FOH-9+N+to:41.574361,-80.695953+to:Harmon+Rd+to:Lake+Rd+E+to:N+Ridge+Rd%2FUS-20+W%2FUS-420+to:US-20+W%2FUS-6+W+to:Lake+Rd+to:Cleveland+Rd+E%2FW+Lake+Rd%2FUS-6+W+to:Cleveland+Rd+W+to:OH-2+W+to:W+Lakeshore+Dr%2FOH-2+W+to:I-75+N+to:Unknown+road+to:OH-424+W+to:Rd+179+to:US-127+S+to:US-127+S+to:Rockdale+Ave&hl=en&geocode=FdRHVQId-O32-g%3BFXKeUQId8pX6-g%3BFaIITgIdNKEH-w%3BFWBzTgIdgVIV-w%3BFTyTUQId_pYa-w%3BFdRXWQIdhPck-w%3BFRR9XQIdlHQp-w%3BFSILYgId4ocs-w%3B%3BFcJhfwId2Gsv-w%3BFei-fgIdCvss-w%3BFZYwfQIdLhwp-w%3BFV4HeQIdQrMg-w%3BFWAkeQIdsFIb-w%3BFQB8dwIdZNYV-w%3BFURLeAIdsoYS-w%3BFRSjeAId4j8Q-w%3BFZ6jegIdrAsM-w%3BFcDHegIdniUF-w%3BFcrydwId_o0A-w%3BFQIldwIdHuv7-g%3BFaaTcwIdUrv3-g%3BFUT3ZwIdOor1-g%3BFWzKXQId9qv0-g%3BFZZJVQId5Nn2-g&mra=dme&mrcr=1&mrsp=8&sz=10&via=1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,19,20,22,23&sll=41.476689,-80.847015&sspn=0.835469,1.349945&ie=UTF8&ll=40.292097,-82.765503&spn=3.402101,5.39978&z=
Disclaimer
Doesn't look exceptionally twisty. And 2 days? Bitch please, you know we could do it in one.... c'mon!
Casper
Doesn't look exceptionally twisty. And 2 days? Bitch please, you know we could do it in one.... c'mon!I think I could do it in one day, but most can't/won't. It's 886 miles. My longest to date is right around 800 in a day, so it shouldn't be a problem. But I think most would want at least two days. I'm thinking more of a touristy type ride. Slow pace, site see, etc. Or, we could add Columbus to the mix, do it in one day, and get the iron butt.

Uncle Punk
Add 114 miles to the trip, start in Cleveland, next year after the time change, no colder than 60 degrees in the dark, all one day and I'm in. Iron Butts for everyone. Edited November 8, 2009 by Uncle Punk

buildit
Why in the name of all that's flat and boring would anyone ride Western Ohio? Do a tour of Eastern Ohio and have a better time.
ironbuttwannabe
you are just an iron butt wanna be Yeah never did the paper work. I've done two back to back. And I did 1254 miles in 23 hours also. I should have looked at the map before but it would be near impossible to add 100 miles on that route and make it in 24 hours. It might be hard to even make that 840 some miles in 24 hours. On the other hand, I would be up for trying it
Cdubyah
This looks like it could be fun.
buildit
It's one thing to do 800 miles on a nice straight highway with only gas stops to slow you down. It's another thing to do it on curvy roads with small towns posting 35mph and stop light that don't change for bikes. What I'd really like to do is a gravel/dirt/paved mix from Tar Hollow off 56 all the way out into PA/WV and back. It would definitly require some mapping and gps route work to make it challenging but also avoid closed or gated roads.

jporter12
Just a small suggestion, but why not swing up into MI, and over into IN and KY on the trip, just to say 5 states at the same time!
