BornSinner Posted January 11, 2010 Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 Hey OR....I was in the process of mounting speakers inside one of my helmets...when I noticed that the helmet was a bit funky....I got the speakers mounted up but now my issue is the smell.....Its not a funk that would peal off paint from a wall....but its still a bit oder-ificAny ideas???? Likwid Posted January 11, 2010 Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 I take the removable foam out and wash it with the fragrance free detergent.Also, spray a little febreze in the helmet with the pads out, should get rid of the rest. If it's possible to put them over the heater vent to dry, that might be better. Putting them in the dryer might result in pilling, so then you'll have little bits of fluff on your dome when you take your helmet off.
