It's time for an upgrade from the 250 (probably by the end of June I'll have a different bike)...I need opinions, because apparently I'm all over the place with my choices...

I really like the HD Iron 883 (2009)...BUT (before all the haters chime in...)

I'm partial to sportbikes. <3 like a CBR600 (2006)

Or a GSXR.

And I also have a soft spot for the naked looking bikes...like a Ducati (an older one of course.)

Please help...I suffer from liking too many motorcycle styles and not having enough money to have them all. LOL

Lyndse's first bike was a Ninja250. She put 18' date='000 miles on it before she decided it was time for an upgrade. Well, a bike upgrade. That little Ninja had an EX500 rear shock and heavier fork oil in the front end, Pirelli tires, WoodCraft rearsets, Muzzy full system and a jet kit before she decided it was a very well polished turd.

She was looking at the SV naked, but opted for the Monster. She loves it and can barely remember riding the Ninja.

She's also 4'10".. if that helps your reference.[/quote']

Ya know, the Ninja 250 serves me fine for MOST of the riding I do. I just like to have something bigger for highway riding (that I try to avoid anyway, even in the car) and more spirited rides. Most of the riding I do from place to place, the 250 is great, especially with the fuel mileage!

I say you need another Kawi!

I wouldn't rush to get rid of the 250. The Ninja has plenty of top-end for the real world and great gas mileage. Unless you're really ready to push the limits and have a safe place to do so...

The Littlest Ninja is a great bike. I love them' date=' but she was ready for something a bit more.. substantial. I know she was ready, because her overall speed and riding improved dramatically once she was used to the replacement machine.

I wish I still had my first bike.. 1988 EX500. I loved it, then got bored with it, sold it, then discovered Southern Ohio roads and now I wish I still had it.[/quote']

I like my Hon-duh 500 better, V-4 power is awesome, but I get tired of wrenching on it! Did I hear Pauly volunteering to come down here and finish it for me for free?

"Free" does not compute. :p

What's left to do? I figured you had the "hard" part licked' date=' already.[/quote']

The "hard" part is too soft, and that's the problem that needs licked. I'll update my thread about it, if I can find it again.
