alienpi
I've been thinking about getting a second bike for around $3,000-$3,500 (GSX-R750, GSX-R600, R6, ZX-6R) My primary concern is to get something fuel-injected. My secondary concern is how good it will be on the track with minimal upgrades (sliders, tires, cheap suspension upgrades). I'm kind of new to the whole track scene, so I was wondering what the most cost-affective bike-route would be in the 3k-3.5k price range. I was also wondering who I should take the bike to, to get it tuned up.I am thinking about offering $2800 for this: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/1677553608.html
dustinsn3485
I've got an 01 cbr600f4i that I'm going to be letting go for around that in the next week or so. It's got a bit of rash on the fairings, but mechanically is a solid bike!Honestly I'm not sure how it would be for track, but I have to imagine it would do pretty good.As for tuning, if you get a PC3 brian is the only place to go. alienpi
I kind of miss the non-smooth powerband of the I-4s, so I wasn't even thinking about the SV650. But after looking on Craiglook, it seems that the 03+ SV650 may be perfect for my budget. http://louisville.craigslist.org/mcy/1707441154.htmlhttp://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/1705953869.htmlhttp://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/1701190418.html

alienpi
Yeah, I've heard that the GSX-R750 is basically "The best 600 ever." I hope there's some nice rebuilt titled/newbified GSX-R750s this Fall/Winter (bike buying season). Unfortunately, it seems that newbified 600s are more plentiful. Radio Flyer
If you go with the SV you'll be needing to do a front end swap and rear end swap for the suspension.
