Tomorrow is our 16year wedding anniversary and I need a suggestion for a

nice restaurant in the Columbus area for dinner.

Melissa's not big on fish so things like Ocean Club and such are out,

looking for a nice place but not so nice we'd need a reservation.

Let me hear what you all think. Hooters Friday night bike night just ain't

gonna cut it on the anniversary :p

Some of my favourites are Due Amici, Alex's Bistro, and the Elevator. And of course El Vaquero when the Mexican is required...

Ok, never heard of any of those except El Vaquero.

Guess I need to also know kinda where the place is with the suggestion, at least a city or area,

something for me to go on and do a internet search to find these places.

Seriously, a bar on campus is not what I had in mind. :wtf:

Whatcha lookin' to spend?

Steak, Italian, ... ?

Places that come to mind that haven't been mentioned:

Moretti's on Sawmill, south of 161 (Italian, moderate price, huge portions)

Carrabba's Italian (Lyra Drive, Polaris Pkwy, right by QS&L, you'll need reservations, moderate price)

Cap City Diner on Olentangy at 5th. (moderate price)

Barcelona in Gerbil Village (more expensive)

thatdude's answer: eat at the y. :takeit:

If you're gonna go steak, you've got to go Hyde Park. Absolute best steak in Columbus.

+1,000,000...right across the street downtown is sushi rock too, pretty legit and pretty reasonable and they have a pretty wide selection of food.

Hyde Park grille has the best steaks in this town. You need reservations and it's expensive. J. Alexanders has really great prime rib and they don't take reservations (you'll wait for a table but it's worth it). Just get an app. and some drinks at the bar.

Happy Anniversary!
