curby
Why in the hell do we not get these machines of lust? WHY? It's based on the same power plant as my warrior. 1670cc v-twin. specs are here.http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/eu/products/motorcycles/mt-series/mt-01.aspx?view=features Edited August 5, 2010 by curby
hue jass
Europe gets everything. America had to wait two years to get the new FJR in '03. They were sold out in 45 minutes.
redkow97
hotness.
the_silverfox
It's a sweet ride...I've been drooling over that bike for the last couple years. When Flying Brick and I were up in Canada in May we were looking in phonebooks for a nearby Yamaha dealer to see if we could see one in person.Same goes for the Yamaha XJR1300. It's a naked FJR with chaindrive! And that thing isn't even sold in Canada.

max power
Thats the bike Harley should build. Very cool, but it doesnt look like we will ever see it here. They keep saying that Americans dont like naked bikes. I beg to differ.

SpeedTriple44444
Naked bikes suck. Nobody here wants a naked bike.I agree about the Harley comment... oh wait! They tried that! It was called a Buell.

SpeedTriple44444
The buells were ugly. This would have sold better IMO.I like this a lot, other than the tank (what's with the funky looking horizontal thing) and the headlight that they must have co-developed with Kawasaki. RVTPilot
That bike is part hotness, part inbred stepchild. The oblong cover screwed in the frame reminds me too much of a Harley, while other parts of the bike are schweet. Dunno that I would have one, but wouldn't knock it either. curby
Yeah the horizontal things on the tank are not appealing but the bike IMHO is complete hotness. To each their own but I own one. I'd rock the socks off that beast. Maybe it's because I'm partial to yamaha and I always wondered what my engine in sport Ike attire would be like. Well o dream no longer. Lol
Zach
You could always build your own....

drew95gt
America rarely gets the cool naked bikes and it is a shame. I am partial to naked bikes due to their relaxed ergos and I like being able to see the engine on the bike (easier to work on too).
jporter12
MT-01 does look pretty tough. they are suppose to sell the r4 {250cc} in the states for 2011. shoulda named it r2.5 . gonna cost like 1k more than the ninja 250 i here. sorry curby , :bow:dont mean to sabotage your thread.I can't imagine it doing well at that price point. I think the Ninja 250 is pretty well overpriced for what it is. I love my little older 250, but the price they're getting for the new one will ensure that I'll save my money for a bigger bike (not that I would get a NEW bike anyway!) Fonzie
Mehh.... Reminds me a lot of the V-max. Seems redundant
