buildit Posted October 23, 2010 Report Share Posted October 23, 2010 A friend to many of us who dual sport ride and frequent ADV rider was shot in the line of duty in Monroe county during a bust of a drug growing operation.Meefzah who also posts here had this to say about it on ADV rider:I don't really feel comfortable going into detail here, if I had my 'druthers I wouldn't have posted the initial info on here but since its out I will update. Brandon is midway through his 3rd surgery. At this point he is alive and expected to recuperate but I'm sure it will be a long road. His family is here and they appear to be doing okay. His two sons don't know yet and I'm not sure when or how they will be told. The shooter has similar injuries from return fire and he is here at Grant too.Right now all we can do is say a prayer for Brandon (AKA Sparkster) and hope for his quick recovery. The incident happened in chesterville, about. 15 minutes north of mount Gilead.All of the major Columbus news network have additional details on this. The Sheriff guys are pretty cool folks and even though I had no idea he was a Motorcyclist, we get a LOT of guys from the Sheriff dept that help at Mid-Ohio for our demo days and such. Medical marijuana for people with diseases and crippling medical issues are permitted to grow and smoke marijuana. However, you do what these guys were doing and it is illegal and would have had similar consequences. So, nothing remotely the same...
