Hey guys,

Quick question. I bought my 05 Kawi 636 about a year ago from someone who installed an after market LED tail light kit. as pictured below..

My battery died and since Kawasaki made it a pain to get the battery out (unnecessary work) I had to detach the rear fairing. when I did that this happened...

It looks like there is a type of glue or adhessive that holds it in place.

So my question is...What should I use to put it back on? and since I have an under tail exhaust, wasn't sure if that played a factor.

Um, dude... The battery is under the seat. You don't have to take the tail fairing off to replace it.

And just replace the tail light.

+1

Per service manual:

Remove: front seat, fuel tank, bolts, connector, fuel tank bracket

Slide caps

Disconnect battery

Remove battery

yea removing the battery in a 636 is a bitch but not remove tail fairing bitch. Honestly, from what I've seen stock or aftermarket, half of the 636 had shitty fitment on the light. My 636 was bone stock and from the day I picked it up the taillight would not stay without adhesive keeping it tight on the fairing
