TSB67
Your Busa is fine for a track day. However, if you're going to the effort of setting up another bike for track only, I sure as hell wouldn't make it a Hayabusa.I've ridden with the guy that made that video. I think he was on here last summer but not sure what his username is. You should get ahold of him on his website - he's a good guy and his opinion would definitely be a valid one. Chrisoh
because you should be looking down track or through the turn. Your speedometer doesn't dictate when you brake or accelerate, your reference points do (or should).Plus when you're first learning, you really don't want to get it in your head that "I take turn X at 55mph," or you'll always be scared to go faster than that. My speedometer isn't taped over, but the ONLY time I look at it is if I'm bored on a straightaway; like accelerating in 4th gear, when I know I'm going to get to 6th before I need to brake.I have a habit of looking down at my speedo coming out of corners, gives me a little indication of how I came out of a corner. But with the size of the new Digital read outs it isn't hard to catch it in your periphial as you tuck in out of a corner.I loved looking at my speedo on the 1k on the Tri-Oval at Nashville. Seeing 186 as I click 6th gear always made me giggle.
