IB723
Wanted to do a sort of roll call to the SV riders out there. So here it is. Who is going?
Disclaimer
Will they let SV's on the track? On second thought, I dunno if I wanna be seen with Gen1 carb'd bikes. What do they call a parade of girls' bikes anyway? A gaggle?

Moto-Brian
I'll be racing the RC8 in MT SS...Yes, SVs are killa at Mid-Ohio and usually get a decent turn out of them for the races.
LongDogRacing
sorry to thread-jack, but fellow SV'ers that are good at troubleshooting, please help!i want to race at mid-ohio for the vintage round, but the darn thing won't start.i hit the start button and only get a "click". battery is new and charged. bike doesn't turn over at all. gauges are getting power.i'm in springfield, oh, if anyone is close. there could be a small monetary reward for your assistance! thanks in advance. IB723
I will be there saturday and sunday. I hope there is more turnout than last years RRGC. I was one of 3 novice SV650 guys and I think maybe 4 experts.
LongDogRacing
hey folks,i need to know how they do the timing for the vintage round.does the AMA provide us with a transponder, or do we need our own?anyone else going to be racing their SV from the Dayton/Springfield area?thanks!oh, yeah, i did figure out my electrical gremlins. apparently, it was a grounding issue...the SV is pimped and ready to race! IB723
Last July at the AMA RRGC they did provide transponders at no charge. I would think they would do the same for the Vintage days. I would email this person ksaillant@ama-cycle.org to make sure...Greg#723sponsored by LasikPlus
Moto-Brian
Typically, with WERA (They ran the RRGC last season and the Vintage series at Mid-Ohio, they charge a renatl fee. I think it is something like $50? Dunno... They aren't USUALLY free...Get on www.wera.com and ask the question or rather, do a search and see if you can find the answer. But, they use the AMB system to score bikes... LongDogRacing
Reply from the AMA regarding transponders!"To your question, WERA will be providing free transponders as long as they are returned. If they are not returned the rider will pay for the full replacement. Please contact me should you have any other questions.See you next week!!!Sincerely,Tamra JonesOff-Road & Track Racing CoordinatorAMA Racing13515 Yarmouth DrivePickerington, OH 43147Phone:614-856-1910 ext. 1235Fax: 614-856-1924"
