Salvage title, what to expect on inspection day?

Getting ready to go through the inspection, I have a truck that had light front end damage, replaced the bumper and grill. As part of the inspection do they test headlight alignment and things like that? Overall the truck is is great condition, headlight alignment might be the only thing.

When I did the salvage inspection for my truck, they basically wanted to see the receipts for every replaced part. They did nothing for the road worthiness of the vehicle.

My friend did a miata and the body shop painted over the fender VINs so the inspector confiscated them.

Years ago, rebuilt a car ...... inspector wanted recpts, I'm thinking he said notarized, not sure. BUT he was being a __________, about it. Finally okayed the car.

Deer strike on the old SUV, minor damage (to me) insurance wanted to total it. Insurance agent said most difficult to get salvage titles now. If it drives okay, just don't turn in a claim and drive it.

As mentioned, this was years ago, so current routine may be different.
