lightbulb
A lot of my gear stinks like rotten slimy skunk slut snatch. Well, maybe not that bad. But bad enough I washed my head after wearing my helmet today. The days of riding in 90*+ heat and track days are over for this year, so I figure it's time to give everything a good once-over to wash away the bio-nasties and layer of oil and sweat they live in. I figure I'm not alone here. What do you guys do? Any unusual cleaners or methods?
2talltim
i just pop my helmet liner out and throw it in the washer and hang it out to dry
grapesmuggler27
I wash my gear after every track day throughout the year seems to work and keeps the flys away
Helmutt
My street lids interiors get washed as needed, just depends on use - just pull it all out and throw it in the laundry, then let 'em airdry......tightens the helmet's fit again, and smells way better too
TSB67
I thought you meant literally. A friend's cat got accidentally locked in his motocross trailer for a couple days last week. It's pretty ripe.I've actually never cleaned any of my sportbike gear other than wiping bugs off the outside.
RSparky
I bathe my helmet liner in the shower... Guess I worry about the plastic-ey bits. After I'm clean, just double some shampoo on the pieces, squeeze then and rub them together to get a nice sud, then rinse. Air dry on a hanger draped over a stand up fan. Weird? Maybe. Awesome smelling helmet? Totally.

AOW
durring the Summer months, once a week liner goes into the laundry if I'm riding daily. During the fall & "winter" usually every 3 weeks. Having a second liner is a HUGE plus. Edited September 21, 2011 by AOW

YSR_Racer_99
LOL. Yeah, I was gonna say "just spray some Axe on it". Thats what my college roommate used to do instead of showering.

Scruit
A lot of my gear stinks like rotten slimy skunk slut snatch. Biting my toungue because I think OP's description of the smell would make a joke like "Stop lending your gear to your mom then" grounds for violence.
