Beegreenstrings
Well what did he do... If you are going to give him props at least tell us what he did.
r1crusher
Dicks...all of ya! He just had some thing configured poorly. I updated the firmware on his wireless router, reconfigured it with new SID and set it up so he could use his laptop wirelessly from anywhere in the house. Moved all of the existing wired connections over to the router instead of off the Surfboard modem and made a return visit to get his printer hooked up wirelessly.Nothing major really, just good old fashioned home networking setup/config.But thanks for the props Marty! Beegreenstrings
being the savy guys that you and casper are... How do you link two xbox together in the same house? Can you run a wire between the two of them and link them so four people can play together? say two on two in black ops (or any other game). jblosser
...How do you link two xbox together in the same house?...Can you run a wire between the two of them and link them so four people can play together?Assumption: These are XBox 360'sSecond question first: Yes, using an Ethernet crossover (not a regular network cable, you need a crossover) cable between the two boxes.First question: Wired or wirelessly. Beegreenstrings
wired i guessNow what is this crossover cable? obviously not a standard cat5
r1crusher
JFGI.....but it's a normal looking CAT5 cable with the exception of two pairs of the wires are changed pin wise at the ends. I'd have to double check of that's truly needed though, not entirely sure.
Beegreenstrings
Let me know. Mst Sgt is bringing home some of his team for Xmas and we plan on playing games and getting hammered while the women are off shopping. Most likely split screen team against team stuff.
