really? I was reading the manual and it had me removing most of the front end. Maybe I'll just take a look at it tomorrow. :)

If you need some help, lemme know. I still have some waterproof automotive connectors if you want to try the wiring thing.

  • 1 month later...

Update: Two months later, I snagged hwilli (and his ridiculous amount of tools that I don't have), we spent ~45 minutes taking the front end off, and 15 minutes at Ohio Motorcycle in Hilliard. 2 new keys cost me $16! Yay, time to get a new battery and finally get riding this summer!

I could never have waited that long. Then again, I have two keys for each vehicle. One set stored in safe place.

edit: sooo, did you take the entire front end in and ask for a key?

shoot, I would have, I'm crazy like that.

idk how I waited that long, honestly, I think I was just too busy with work.

nope just the ignition... I can't joke with people like that with motorcycles, they might assume I mean it.

While we were in there, I found that my air intake was kind of taped together.

Whoa wtf is that about? I never took the front end apart. Sorry about that :/ I blame Midwest motorsports. That's probably why they're not in business any more.

I'm just busting your balls buddy. I doubt you wouldn't have addressed it had you know about it.

 I didn't blame him either - how often do people take the front end off of a functional bike? I was thinking the same thing about Midwest. Otherwise, Cleave might have gotten a stern look next time I saw him. :D
