redkow97 Posted May 12, 2012 Report Share Posted May 12, 2012 Great vision in his day, but for the past 20 years or so Shelby had come across to me as a fish out of water. Technology really kind of passed him by. "take off all the unnecessary weight and stick a bigger engine in it" was never a high-tech philosophy, and I liked that about his cars. I just don't consider anything made after 1979 one of HIS cars. I suspect he might feel somewhat the same. IRS, traction control, forced induction, ABS... Modern gadgets Carrol didn't need or want!
