speedytriple Posted May 27, 2012 Report Share Posted May 27, 2012 So I got bored today and made a sling for my AR out of paracord. Took around 80-85 feet of cord and around 4 hours to tie it. I used the king cobra knot. Which is a cobra knot with a second cobra knot tied over the top to add some width. Sling is about 1 1/4 inch wide and almost 1/2 inch thick. Used desert storm camo color cord for it. I like it and it is the perfect size to get a nice tight pull when wrapped around my arm. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It doesn't look very comfortable either, too bulky.Are you just using it for support? It looks like you would be able to get a nice tight pull with that thing, but looks useless as a sling. And it offers a very nice tight pull when shoulder for shooting. Which is more of what it was made for. AND it gives me almost a full bundle of cord if it is needed.
