Mj 88
I took a week long trip to TN and NC. The trip was great until Friday at the Gap! One of our riders, Sean, a SMJ member lost control at mile marker 7 and went about 75' over the mountain. We all thought he was going to make it, no broken bones and was cracking jokes. He was more worried about his bike than anything. Unfortunately, he died 20 minutes later enroute to the hospital. I just met him the night before. He was a 24 year old marine, and a great, fun guy and an awesome rider. We never know when it's our turn, it could have been any one of us. Enjoy life while you can but keep it safe out there! Thoughts and prayers go out to close friends and family of Sean!

buildit
I love this sport but things like this keep me aware of it's very real dangers if I ever think for a second that it's all fun and games.

BDBGoalie
^ agreed. Damn. Internal injuries?I'd expect so with nothing broken. Although its like a 30 minute ambulance trip (Not including the response time) to get anywhere so less serious things can get very serious quickly.
