Does anyone know what this come off?

My buddy got this in a storage locker auction hes curious what it come off of and how much he could get for it. I asked him if there were any serial numbers or part numbers on it but he says there wasnt one. Its obvious that its from some series of CBR and that its a gas tank.

well I'm guessing a CBR

see if it has any kind of numbers stamped on it. you could possibly use those in a parts fiche to find the year etc.

There should be a manufacturer's part number on it.

Post that and we can search for it.

Would be easier turned to see the side of it. From what little of the paint scheme it looks like a 2001 cbr 929.

^^ I'd put my money on vf1000ride, looks like it is dead nuts on. The only thing I can tell you is that it isn't from any year 600rr

i just told him to take it to the closest honda bike dealer and see if they can identify it. His plan is to sell it. I asked him to send me a side photo of it, but it looks very similar to the 929 mentioned above.

Looks like it came off something that was painted black & yellow.

Pull that fuel pump if theres no visible numbers on the bottom and check the other side of the pump for #'s, then maybe strip the foam thats covering some of the underside of the tank for #'s. Or just list it as is on CL, whoever is after one and knows what it is will buy it?

Honda CBR600F4i, I believe they had that paint scheme in 2002-2003. It will fit any year through...even after they went back to the single seat.

Pretty sure 929. I think they switched to the tank fairings on the 954 though I could be mistaken
