Pokey
I have a spare charger you are welcome to borrow, I am still off of work so I have spare time on my hands. I really would go buy a new battery for it "just in case", and Wallyworld probably does have the best deal. The Pony would have a battery for you no doubt, but might be pricey. Nappa also sells really good batteries, I put a new one in my Vstrom before I sold it. Let me know, would be more than happy to stop by and see what I can do? I am fairly knowledgeable about motorcycles, so don't worry.

cOoTeR
If you jump start it using a car or truck or other than a bike make sure its not running. If its running it can cause a few problems with your electrical system.

magley64
I still think that's a myth.I'm with you, I'm no EE, but the electrical system of the vehicle being jumped shouldn't care how many amps are going into the battery doing the jumping, so long as the voltage isn't out of range.. gixxie750
99% of the time jumping goes bad because the jumper cables barely fit and people let the positive hit the frame, subframe. Them BAM!
QuikAccord
That can still happen with car off.

magley64
better safe than sorry.I can understand the sentiment.99% of the time jumping goes bad because the jumper cables barely fit and people let the positive hit the frame, subframe. Them BAM!This does happen, short circuits are rarely good for electronics. That can still happen with car off.indeed.
