cOoTeR
That seems like it would cause you to roll instead of slide.
Tonik
I'm gonna buy two of those one to poo on and another to cover it up with.
blue03636
These work really well. I have seen a few activate at speed and they did their job. A few people that I race with own them and love them.
Bad324
i would be the idiot to get off the bike without disconnecting the tether and looking like a damn blowfish

bshultz0930
It's good to see more protective gear coming out for riders. Wether people will actually wear them or not though.
Revelstoker
If I had $5k to blow, I would be all over the A-star or Dianese airbag suit that is rechargeable.the neckbrace is on my x-mas list along with a new suit.
JackFlash
Quick inflating enhancements, in high injury areas, in jackets and riding pants are a great idea. I like it. Now, make it so I can afford it and justify it's expense..
Agent3012
i would be the idiot to get off the bike without disconnecting the tether and looking like a damn blowfishI own the Hit-Air MLV shown in the video. As long as you've adjusted the tether length correctly, you'd have to dive off the bike for it to go off. I've forgotten about the tether, like an idiot, and you're pretty quickly warned by the tugging from your waist.I admit that I don't wear it all the time, usually more for when I'm heading out for a longer ride. At 2 lbs, it doesn't add any real weight, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone asks me one day why I'm wearing a life vest on a bike.At $459, I could understand it not being very common, but it's also not out of reach for someone wanting the extra bit of safety it can provide. Interestingly enough, the company makes the vests for the equestrian market as well.
