So a few people may know Alan (QuikAccord) is a man of many talents. I just wanted to give him some props for the decals that he made for me. I needed some new Yamaha emblems and I wanted a larger Batman logo to put on my bike. He did both of these things in a very quik...turnaround. They were done very well. I also know that Oldschoolsdime92 had some Fazer emblems made that are really sharp as well. On top of making a high quality product he had some very good customer service. He called me to clarify exactly what I wanted, which was awesome. Thanks so much Alan! As a side note he has also fixed some of my neighbor's kids iPods that had broken screens for a really fair price and good turn around. Man of many talents. I believe I found your problem. Why would you go for a ride on that shitty freeway? It's a sportbike, take it to the fun roads and leave the flip flops at home. Sitting on your bike for an hour on a freeway without changing your body position (like you would on twisties) will make your ass numb no matter what seat you put on it.

Is it still under warranty? If not I am sure there are a few great guys on the forum who knows a thing or 2 about bikes that could figure it out. Motorcycles are not cars, best to learn as much as you can about maintaining them and fixing them, not many dealer techs know their ass from their hand.

Well, speaking of oil, when I was 16, my dad was showing me, for the first time, how to change the oil in my newly aquired piece of crap 1977 Ford Thunderchicken. Showed me how to properly jack the car up and ensure it is secured with stands, with the whole speech of how you don't want the jack to fail or fall while under the car. Got that all situated and we crawl under the car so he can show me where the drain plug is and how to remove it, carefully draining the old oil into the container without making a mess. So far so good, no spilt oil. We proceeded to move over to the oil filter and he showed me how to remove it, oil up the seal on the new one, and screwing it on enough but not too much, making it easy to remove when the next change is due. Again so far so good. We crawl out for a few minutes to let the oil completely drain. I crawled back under to watch the draining (16, everything was exiting then). I come back out with the container. Me: "Good to go, oils all drained." Dad: "Okay, using the funnel, just pour the new oil in there". After about 3 quarts. Dad: "Um son, did you put the plug back in?" Me: "No, you didn't tell me to." Guess who had to clean the garage floor, and never heard the end of it, for the rest of his fathers life? This guy!

I've done an oil change on a truck, and completely forgot about the drain plug... until i heard a splashing noise under the truck.... what could that be? Oh... fresh oil running onto the ground...great

But it was love at first sight. We ride the same motorcycle, wear the same gear and ride the same roads. Hell, we can take turns wearing thongs, bikini tops and flip flops and ride on the back of each other's bikes.Umm, not really.

Alan is good people, until you share a cabin, a couple bottles of Jager, and a case of beer with him and he ends up breaking the NO PICS OF THE DRUNKEN HOT TUB PASSENGERS rule! He gets crazy determined trying to knock trees down barehanded though Nah, really......he's a cool kat and can wire your house, make you decals, fix your car/bike, build you a fire, etc....etc....etc

For anyone interested, anything this guy owns is meticulously maintained and clean as a virgin meatwhistle. The bike is in great condition and suspension work alone makes it a track worthy specimen for anyone looking into a triple duty sport/tour/track bike. If I had room in my stable, I'd pick it up for sure. GLWS broseph!

I don't use the clutch when I'm scratching my nuts with my left hand. Regardless of the rpms at shift...

Yup, I've ridden with Casper.

I generally don't do them because I don't see a few tenths of a second making a big difference in me getting to work on time or getting any more enjoyment out of my pleasure rides. The tach on my TL drops incredibly quickly due to a super light cank and super high back-compression from two 500cc pistons and it still never drops anywhere near idle during a shift. I'd say the rpms on it or my bandit don't drop more than a grand during shifts, if that. Maybe OP needs an adjustable clutch lever or needs to adjust out his free play? Sure clutchless shifts are probably fine, but are they necessary for street riding? Probably not. Hey, what's the best oil to use in my bike? And should I carry a glock or a 1911? Ak or AR? 9mm or .45? Yoshimura or D&D? Opinions are like assholes, we all got them. Assholes are like a 9v battery, even tho you know you shouldn't, everyone has put their tongue on one at some point in time.

I think OhioRiders has a younger ( at heart ) population as the majority, whereas RideOhio seems to be a more controlled and mature crowd. Where we have booze induced hot tub jello and gun fights, they just have the hot tubs They're powerchairs and beer, we're turbocharged segways and moonshine
