  1. First, let me apologize to Mike. I am sorry. Occasionally, the 12 year old inside me takes over, and thinks something is funny without caring if someone else will find it funny. I make the assumption that any advice given, from anyone, is taken with a grain of salt, and verified before implementing. Especially in an area marked as "Time Wasters". Also, since I have been on computers since the early 80's, I forget there are people who do not recognize deletion commands, even the old school DOS commands. In the future, I will try to keep my trolling in the "Flame" section.

  2. OOOOh...i get it. Helmets are bad for your spine. Gotcha. I havent ever had whiplash from braking with a helmet on lol. Maybe you need some riding lessons. As for being stuck up - you obviously dont know me. All i do is have a good time lol, ask anyone here whose met me. im not even sure what a "bsa" is, but whatever lol. I was wondering when the noob butthurtedness would start flowing in "Eehhrmagerd I wanna delte this thred becuz of trololololols. wwhhaaaa sumbody call tha wwhhaaammmmber lamps!!!" If you get upset so easily, this may not be the right forum for you bud. Just sayin.

  3. this is precisely like every other race based trial this last decade. death threats galore are being tweeted about what will happen if zimmerman doesn't get life/death penalty etc etc. Color has zip importance for me, the kid was a pretend thug from what I've seen, zimmerman was a wanna be cop from what i've seen. likely a bit of guilt on both parties. how it washes out, dunno, but I'm glad I'm not down there. LA was NOT a good place for a white guy after OJ, and King verdicts

  6. Wow, this got out of hand quick. I'm more interested in racing in any form (even 2 drunks in a 100 yard foot race outside a bar at 2am in January) than I am in watching the fuse get lit on somebody's tampon, but the fuse got lit on this one. I will weigh in on this as a person who wears helmets all the time and split one in a crash 19 years ago. Less than a quarter mile after pulling out of my driveway I came over a hill to find a car stopped in my lane. I really don't remember anything about the wreck but I was told later that I was going 45mph when I parted ways with my bike ( a beautiful blue/green/white 92 ZX7). I was told I landed on my feet facing the wrong direction but still going about as fast as I was on the bike. I immediately got slammed to the pavement head first. I woke up in the hospital that night with a broken foot and the worst headache I've ever had. The doctor told me they needed to keep me to monitor my brain swelling. It had swollen up as far as it could and if it were to go anymore they would need to start cutting holes in my skull to relieve pressure. The next day they showed me my helmet. It had split from the base in the back all the way around the top and stopped about an inch or two from the eye port on the front. I was also informed by the same doctor that my brains would have been all over the road had I not been wearing a helmet and that I had taken the hardest head-hit that he had seen somebody live through. I tend to think he was right because I know how much pain I experienced as a result of this wreck. I remember pulling out of my driveway and then waking up in the hospital that night. Everything in between is lost. Did I get whiplash from my helmet? I really doubt it and if I start experienceing pain from it years from now (or even today) I'll deal with it and continue to ride because helmets have afforded me these extra days and years that I probably wouldn't have had otherwise. What you do is your business and I honestly don't care. I know several people who don't wear helmets whether they ride Harleys or everything else. It's your life live it how you want. I just thought I'd weigh in with what I KNOW about helmets. Can we get back to racing now????

  7. Helmets give you whiplash? Congratulations, that's the most retarded statement I think I've ever heard on ohioriders. Don't grab the front brakes on that Harley too hard bro, you'll fly right over the handlebars. I suggest you only use the rear brakes.

  11. So, Theresa and I have been riding 99% track for about 3 years now. maybe putting about 200miles on the street a year. This is mainly due to the hassle is was to switch back and forth from Track fairings to street bodywork, lights and so on. We have realized how much we actually did miss the street being able to go on rides(nothing more than spirited 60-80% of pace) on some back roads, going to dinner and just being on the bike more than the twice a month we were getting when going to the track. That being said, we didn't exactly get touring bikes. First off no we are NOT selling the CBR or the R6 those are staying as dedicated track bikes, and will stay that way till they no longer run haha. Second eventually these will make it to the track, just don't know when are anything else for that matter. I wanted to Say (though they are not on here) thanks to Ducati of Indianapolis. I have had the pleasure of being a CR for them for almost 2 years now. They know how to take care of a customer. Good prices, great service and amazing people work there. Do not hesitate to contact them! well enjoy.. as much as I plan on Theresa is Now Rocking a 2013 Ducati 848 EVO I decided on the 2013 Ducati Panigale

  14. The bottom part of 800 between 255 and Fly(7) has been paved in the last two years.Really fun if you don't get stuck behind traffic. 564 east of Caldwell from 78 to 145 was paved last year.Part of 565 has been paved recently. 145 in the same area was paved about two years ago.I know they're west of 77,but a couple of my favorite roads are in that area ,339 and 530.If you haven't been on 530...check it out. It's short at about 5-6 miles, but it is one of the most challenging roads in southeast Ohio.339 was paved about three years ago and is another very good road. The first two or three miles out of Beverly is still older pavement. If you want try a good county road Rinauld Mills Rd between 260 and 26 was paved last year, but be forewarned that the new pavement stops at the county line about a mile or two south of R.M. and the old pavement is bad.I usually do an out and back from 260 instead of riding the bad stuff to R.M. It has been a couple months since I've been over there, but 260,537 and 26 were all in good condition.255 is pretty good, but has a few rough patches.

  15. sadly man, i doubt it is. ive learned qquick, forums a re mostly trolls with nothing better to do than start some useless bs. this is a thread about racing, not helmets. lets move on pass immature and ignorant responses that have nothing to do with racing. and hey man, if you are such this cool great dude with all kinds of riding experience and knowledge, hell, lend me a lid, ill wear it just for you. if anyone was really interested, they can pm me and ill locate and send them all the info on helmets by the head neck and spine foundation. or whatever its called. Ive spent 100s of hours figthing laws to manditorize helmets. its my right to decide as i am an adult. so move on to a helmet thread or get this back to racing. its not that im mad, i am not, im irratated with ignorance. thats all

  17. Been living in the garage and paint booth so haven't had a chance to respond. I'm curious who you think should be punished? This guy knowingly accepted a job with a clearance, and got paid handsomely for it. He didn't like something he found so he violated his NDA and his TS/SCI and exposed the information. He didn't just expose information either, he made sure to do it in a manner that allowed him to take the credit for the exposure. He also was whining and crying about being punished for that same credit he wanted. The punishment has to be swift and harsh to prevent others from following in his footsteps. Yes, I think they just make an example of him because he is worse that just a leak, he's being an cowardly attention whore while he is at it. The intelligence gathering program information he leaked shouldn't have been that much of a suprise. Have you read what the Patriot Act allows for? I'm pretty sure the camera in my bathroom has an NSA logo on it.

I think you may have found the only means possible of having 'matching' vehicles with your wife, and have that not be the most immasculine move ever. So you've got that going for ya :-D

  32. Bro, you need to learn how to READ and COMPREHEND. Polishing removes the top layer of aluminum, so it makes the bike weigh less, which makes it faster. It may not be a lot of weight, but when youre a real true badass bracket racer, like me, everything adds up!!

  33. It's not dodgy... It's a scam. The dude is trying to make money off of something he didn't buy/make himself. Go ahead and give him your IMIE number... Pay the 10 bucks and enjoy an iOS that's buggy and not complete. Then when it's free in the fall, be pissed cause you got had. The mods should ban this dude for being a douche.

  34. I didnt say I advocate helmet laws. Just think you're a fucking retard for not wearing one. And call me "fony" biker all you want, but I wouldn't go on a ride with someone stupid enough to not wear a helmet. Want a hint? Most people here share that sentiment also. Show up for an OR group ride dressed in your jeans and t shirt and wicked awesome sunglasses and you will see. P.S. I probably ride more miles in a week than you do in a month, call me a "fony" all you want, but go ahead and think that over. I'll be out riding while youre at home cleaning oil spots off the garage floor and polishing aluminum to make your bike faster

  35. I hand polished the wheels on my old YZF and regretted it something fierce. First of all, it took me the better part of 80 hrs and a few weeks to work the sandcasted surface out to a mean shine using all grades from 80grit to 2000grit. I fabbed small tools to work into small corners and crannies. Worst part about it, if you don't rub it out with a good polish on a semi-regular basis then it's definitely going to corrode and fog over the shiny finish since you've removed the protective layer of paint/clear/pc. chrome would be the way to go for best results, or just repaint/pc the frame and swing

  39. ok, wow, that may have read wrong. Ok, i will admit myself, helmets do save a life and they are good for certain happenings. AGAIN, crazy, we have this thing about reading. I stated in racing and off road they keep heads from banging and flying debris. shit, they do that in hockey, football and baseball. so what, helmets are not all bad, they are not all so great either. for every action, theres a counter action. duh, if you go slide down the road/track, a good pair of leathers, boots, gloves and a helmet is really going to be nice. a semi head on at 90, aint gonna friggiin matter. thats my point. it is every persons right to decide. I wouldnt mind wearing one. IF I HAD ONE. I dont. I guess I was lucky. Anyone want to go buy me a helmet, I'll gladly wear it, with certain stipulations. nothing pink, mohawked or anything too exotic. But I dont have one. Even if I had my Bell, I wouldnt wear it on a mc on the street Migit, can ya make that a hooter and come over? hahaha. Anyways, guys if YOU want and what I want was the same, there would be no debates in the word. I know I SHOULD wear helmets and all this but facts are facts. I dont ad I'm here telling you I dont. I will get one asap, how about that? Is that going to drop the helmet subject????

  41. dude, you really need reading and comprehension skills lessons. Nope, im not mad, you actually helped prove a good solid point. Some folks just cant handle life without having to have everyone doing as they do. its a waste man, let life and people be who they are. but you wont, you will just troll and troll looking for bs to start man, I ahve seen your kind way too often. all you do is sit on the net and troll and harass folks for nothing but to make others as miserable. yer just too cool. a real cool guy. Go look up neck and spine foundation and see what they have to say about the long term stress on your neck that a helmet causes. also look into a lot of things to do with helmets. while they do good, they cause harm. go take your helmet off, ride down the road and hit the brakes. now, go do it again with your helmet and tell me how much more force gets put on your neck. in many cases there has been reported whiplash and severe neck injury from the extra weight on your neck. things to think about for your next post. im sure itll be how retarded i am and how you re too cool to ride with me. a, wouldnt want ya to anyway. b, you re too stuck up to have a good time and c, you seem like a bsa to me. maybe other suck up to ya or follow your pitiful example. I cant see why you havent floated on to another subject where you say the same thing over and over. I see this thread going nowhere. maybe i can delete it and start oa post called troll free good times
