  2. It makes me sad and pissed that today, racial gains are met by force feeding the public with the idea that racism "needs" to still live. We are encouraged to look out for social differences and call them race. That is completely unnecessary. A man was acquitted of murder charges for killing a disgruntled youth. The sad part in all this is, a child died and a man and his family went through hell because said child attacked him. Why do we need to call reason to this madness? Why do we need to point a finger at someone that was trying to help? Rationality would say cause the social class we identify with gives us a wall to stand against. This is where we fail... This is why we are divided. We all are Americans... We all are "free".

  13. I forwarded the situation to a lawyer I had used for a couple of collections I had a year or two ago. I give credit to very few people and this is exactly why. But good customers expect to be billed and there is a balance. I think at minimum I will create a CC authorization form and collect backup payment via CC with authorization to charge after invoice is 10 days past due (or something like that).

  14. If you wanted an echo chamber, go post on freerepublic. As to the point of Rolling Stone being "irrelevant", it was Matt Taibbi who really started to bring to light the length and breadth of the bullshit that caused (and continues to aggravate) the financial crisis, and trying to bring some accountability to light on it. For that, he should have fucking schools named after him. Bottom line, this has been done before, and from multiple publishers as John pointed out. Last I looked this is still a free country, so if you don't like the cover, don't buy the magazine.

  20. lol way to judge a magazine by its cover. i saw a bunch of people on twitter crying about rolling stone... and to be honest, i don't really get it... so we can't show a photo of this guy ever now? where was the outrage when every TV news network was showing his photo ad nauseum? or when the NYT used the exact same photo on their front page? where is your phony outrage at EVERY FUCKING NEWS OUTLET showing a picture of the RS cover? where was your fake indignation when this TIME issue came out? or this one or this Life magazine? if you skip past the bieber and zac efron shit, there are lots of well written and thought provoking articles in rolling stone. they are one of the few media outlets still doing real in depth investigative journalism. its just ridiculous to me that people are crying about this and they haven't even read the article yet... are they mad because he doesn't look how we expect a "terrorist" to look? brown skin with a turban?

  28. Well said. By both of you. I have a friend who's a little eccentric in his opinions of business and non-profit organizations. He's a very intelligent guy and holds a master's degree in business management and a bachelor's degree in biology. He's worked in private laboratories and for government contractors doing r&d work for the biggest defense industry customer in the World, the U.S. government. Now he owns his own business and does very well for himself. His opinion of any non-profit is that their number one priority is to stay in business. If the business is supposedly there to find a cure for blood borne pathogens then that is the last thing they want to do. Why? Because they would put themselves out f business if they cure whatever they're raising money to cure. You need to look no further than the salaries of the CEO' s of these companies to see evidence of that. The Salvation Army is the only exception. Their CEO only makes something like $25k per year. Anyway, back on subject. If a non profit business for the "advancement of equality for everyone" achieved their goals what would they do then? There business no longer has a legitimate purpose and it would be time to close up shop. If I ran that non profit business would you expect me to put myself out of a job? If I was honest and honorable, then yes I would. If I was out to "get mine" then heck no I wouldn't stop. It's about keeping my cash flow going because the last thing I want to do is get a real job! So I need to keep the turmoil going and the unrest and the hate and fear.....part of my job becomes keeping the b.s. going that I promised to help stop. This is just my opinion as well as my friend's and we could be wrong.....

  29. Its competitive and awesome. I think it's gone through everyones head to do the same but you'll burn through SV tires too, maybe not as fast or as many, but obviously you will. Also, can you handle the slowness and not go nuts? You're frigging fast on that R6 and not sure how you'd handle the different bike. Maybe ask someone next round to take a few laps on their bike, I am sure someone will.

  39. Did anyone catch the Anderson Cooper interview with one of the jurors last night? She remained anonymous. She said: - Jury started off with 1 voting for murder, 2 voting for manslaughter and 3 for Not Guilty - They laid out all the evidence and reviewed every single item - it was a full and complete deliberation - They discounted Murder 2 very quickly as they all agreed that race was not a factor (She said they believed if M had been Hispanic then Z would have acted the same way) - They were leaning towards manslaughter but confused by the wording of the law and the 27 pages of jury instructions. - They understood the prosecutor's theory of the confrontation starting with Z getting out of the car, but did not agree with it. - They believe that Z was a good man with his heart in the right place who went too far out of frustration, not out of anger or racial motivations. - She believed that Z visiting the lady who was robbed and giving her a lock / inviting her to visit his wife etc indicated that he was a good man at heart. - Z should never have gotten out of the car, and it led to a situation where Z and M misinterpreted each others actions, but that M had no right to attack Z - It takes two to tango, effectively, but M's response was so disproportionate that Z's "following" was not considered to be a provocation. - They agreed that that violent confrontation was started by M, and that Z didn't deserve the beating he got. - They believed that Z was in fear of his life at the time he fired the gun - They discounted all testimony regarding identifying the voice on the Lauer 911 tape. They said any relative would say/believe it was their kin - Serino was an honest, credible witness. Him saying he believed Z was telling the truth was powerful. - She confused the defense ME (Dr DiMaio) with the family friend Donnelly (The vietnam vet who talked about identifying voices of people in panic situations) - I heard no reference to to the state ME (Dr Bao) - Rachel Jaentel was not a very credible witness, but they sympathized with her. - She had no problem with the fact that Z is getting his gun back - She also says that she would have no problem with him being on a neighborhood watch again. (He has learned a valuable lesson about how far to go) - They noted that all the physical evidence was consistent with Z's narrative, none of it was inconsistent with his story. - They didn't think the inconsistencies that the prosecution noted in Z's story indicated dishonesty. Ultimately, they believed it was a justified use of force in self defense which is why they acquitted him.

  41. In the original post I do not see where you disavow this content at all. In fact it appeared to be posted as an idea you may have come up with. I haven't seen you copy and paste every viagra advertisement you have received in email so I have to assume you thought this one to be significant. Perhaps you could add some of your own thoughts as to how what you posted is relevant to modern american society? Sorry, but copy & paste of illogical email forwards from others who don't seem to fully grasp what they are posting is not what I look for on a supposed motocycle forum. Maybe we could have a discussion if you actually engage in one versus throwing crap over the wall that you did not create.
