Way to stereotype all Libertarians you douche. Also, Obamacare is a horrible piece of legislation. I think that everyone should have access to affordable health care. The problem with this law is that it DOES NOT make health care affordable. Premiums are increasing drastically in many places. Also, to force people to purchase insurance or pay a fine is completely unconstitutional and the SCOTUS should be ashamed for upholding such bullshit as a "tax". Cheech, to say that those who oppose Obamacare want to deny health care to the poor or less fortunate members of society is disingenuous and you know it. Come up with a better argument.

Hey guys, my name is Kyler, I'm 16 and new to C.R. I was referred by my dad (85s10racer) and pontiacfreak142. I drag race and drive my street driven 1987 Chevy S10. I race at National Trail Raceway, I race in the High School Class and placed 2nd overall in points. On September 15th, I had the privilege of going to The North Central Division 3 Bracket Finals for the achievements in the high school class. I placed over all 4th of 34 High School racers from over 5 states. I'm a sophomore in high school, and have been racing since March of this year. I am a varsity wrestler, love to drag race with my family and friends and cars and trucks overall! My truck is a 87 S10 with a 355ci small block chevy with stock crank and rods with some high dome pistons. It has aluminum Dart Pro 1 heads, Victor Jr intake and topped with a 750 holley. Backed by a built Th 350 trans with full manual valve body and 3600 stall. Stock 10 bolt on radials. In High School, I'm limited to only going 12.00, but my fastest has been an 11.89 at over 113 mph. :masturboy: I'll try to post some pics later. I didn't pay for a membership. I paid for a trail access pass. If I can't access the trails, I'm not getting what I paid for. Pretty simple actually. I don't find it lame at all, although I never bitched about anything. Simply letting you know your facts are not actually facts. For those who aren't getting a paycheck (for any reason, not just gov't failure), let me know what you do for a living. I'd be more than happy to help you find a job. If you are receiving a paycheck and the gov't failure hasn't impacted you, but you still use it as a pawn in a fruitless argument; get bent.

I have nothing against 2 stokes at all. Own a couple now. I was asking because my CRF250 would probably blow up riding a big track. I have no concerns about beating a two stroke around CRP though.

Only in health care are you entering and unbinding agreement, where no costs are quoted, insurance or no insurance. That alone is criminal and could be the single easiest fix. (side no kirk how much do you "bill" insurance companies for ASO braces and similar devices...at Cardinal Ortho they billed my insurance company 750 dollars for a aso brace that can be purchased online for 80...Seems pretty fair to me, especially when they wont quote you a price and your insurance company covers 60%...) As for Bill's topic, yes I think this is fair the GOP/Conservatives "are stomping their feet" and not letting the .Gov operate. They are doing their job for their constituents and standing ground on the affordable health care act which is just outright bad policy. BAD BAD BAD policy.

CRP races will start around 11 AM. We run multiple classes of minis and one Super Moto class. Two sprint races per class. No specific SM track just the .7 mile 10 turn road course. If you plan to race be there around 8 am. Your bike doesn't need to be perfectly setup to race to have a lot of fun. You probably won't beat me anyway

The individual mandate, the onerous requirements for small businesses that dramatically increase their costs, the fact that premiums will be increasing for young, healthy people who have insurance through their employers, the haphazard and unorganized implementation of multiple health care "exchanges" (which vary from state to state), the ridiculous tax on medical devices that will hurt American businesses...shall I continue? I hate insurances companies and agree that they will do shady things if left unchecked. However, anyone who objectively looks at the ACA can see that it is counterproductive and will be ineffective.

I find it way more annoying when someone talks about what they make and can afford, compared to someone asking what something costs. ^^^

Who's talking about Libertarians? There are PLENTY of hard-line Repubs who read Rand so many times that they're making slashfic out of the main characters. For every piece of evidence (and the plural of anecdote is not data) you bring to the table that premiums are being raise "drastically", I can show you similar data that there are MILLIONS of people that were previously not able to afford healthcare and since they have access to affordable coverage they will hopefully start buying it and reducing the costs for us all with lessened ER visits. Look, I'll save us both some hand-wringing here. It's a law, it passed Constitutional scrutiny, and it's done. Yes, it has some parts that are less than ideal (the individual mandate), but it's a damn sight better than what we had. Republicans had all the time in the world to negotiate and argue about it when it was going through Congress, and instead they all decided that if they just sat on their hands and did nothing, then the bill wouldn't pass. Well, it did. How about you give it a year after it's fully implemented and then we'll see what happens? The same fervent teeth-gnashing happened with the New Deal and Social Security, and I'm willing to bet that a SIGNIFICANT percentage of people that are decrying this LAW are collecting some sort of SS/Medicare benefit, and would probably shoot you in the face with the Garand they kept from the War if you tried to take it away from them.

Jokes aside...if a large group of bikers gets together to "stunt around Manhattan" (their words, according to one of the articles), they deserve to be arrested at some point. Riding through Times Square at 40mph wheelie-ing between cars is stupid. I don't care what stunts people want to do, but if you do it in *extremely* foot-traffic busy areas like that, you should have your bike taken away. It's beyond irresponsible and it causes a lot of injuries and problems. I'm blown away that some people are actually sticking up for these idiots. They brake-checked the guy after surrounding him and his family, and then forced him to a stop by surrounding him again...and then everyone is surprised and blown away that he gunned it to get away. Anyone that disagrees with that decision either doesn't have a wife and kids or has pretty messed-up priorities.

you're entitled to comments like that as soon as you::: get over a 3.5gpa in high school, allowing you to go to a good 4 year college get 3.98 or better in college, with two majors, scoring off the chart on the MCAT exam, allowing you to get into a great med school, with a scholarship bust your ass through 4 years of med school, top 10% of your class, so that you can get a great residency work 80-120 hours weekly in 5 years of residency, making enough to pay interest-only, on your 6 figure school loans work over 100 hours a week for even less money, during your one year fellowship, where you essentially learn how to master two surgeries work roughly 80 hours a week while in practice---finally making a good living, yet having to balance work, family, and the stress of the job notice the common theme?? "work" "bust your ass" "stress". i am not unique in my situation--every physician has gone through a similar path--and yes, they are all equally pissed the government is strolling in to tell us we're not worth it. --let me know when your resume compares, and i'll stop bitching--and i'll give you the keys to any one of my cars--i barely have time to drive them anymore.

Oh, and I forgot to mention. NYPD said they impounded 55 bikes and arrested 15 bikers over the weekend...and that wasn't even a majority of the bikers that participated in the event. Nobody's going to think that 3 or more bikers are gang activity...but when you have 100+ bikers riding around Manhattan causing trouble, I'd say that should be considered gang activity.

oh, i know all about it. it's not exactly morning wood material though, as capable a bike as it is. i read up on them quite a bit when i considered blowing my wad on a multi, and it came a close second.

I guess since I'm half of this thread I may as well chime in. I do think the question was a little rude. Worth my time to deal with? No. In my experience when you ignore someone who is rude they just go away. That being said, the part I think was rude was it was his first and only post in they thread. There is a difference between having a conversation with someone and then once you've established respect and interest, then you politely ask. As opposed to the guy who butts into the conversation and asks straight up. As for whether I would divulge my price to a stranger? No. My parents raised me old school and money, politics and religion are not the things of polite conversation with people I don't know. I've also learned on this board to be reserved with some details (especially ones I don't think matter to the thread). I've seen too many people get their shit jumped because someone takes offense at some inconsequential detail. If someone wants to approach me as a friend or at least interested yet respectful person I will probably tell them exactly what I paid. After about a year of searching Racing Junk I bought the car for a little below the average price and got the rest of the equipment free. Chad fully admitted his asking price was about what they had invested in the motor alone. The fact I didn't need to travel to get the car was a huge bonus. Oh, and I've got nothing against the buster.

Look, here it is. The ACA was passed by both houses of Congress. It was signed by a very legal President. It was challenged and held up to judicial review by SCOTUS. Romney attempted to make the Presidential election a referendum on it, and failed miserably, furthermore Republicans failed to generate enough seats to get a majority in the Senate so it could be repealed. You're all out of timeouts and the game's over. The majority of Americans want this, otherwise they wouldn't have fought so hard to get it in there in the first place and keep people in place that wouldn't overturn it. It's passed through every single check and balance this nation has as far as legislation. And for fuck's sake, it just opened for business today, with provisions not related to the exchanges going into effect when the law was signed but the real meat and potatoes starts today. I'm sorry that you feel so bootstrappy that you need to deny healthcare to others, or that you hopelessly cling to the idea that there's a sekrit muslin usurper in the White House, or that you're pissed because you don't understand what the concept of the debt ceiling is and why it's important the US doesn't default. I really am. I'm also fucking pissed off that the majority (at least from what I can see, i know there are a few my age that took this mantle) of these people are Boomers, who don't give a flying fuck what damage they do to the economy or world markets because fuck it, they got theirs and are already retired, why do they give a shit about the rest of us who are trying to build a 401k that's constantly under assault from market uncertainty? I have more fun on my bike on a road course than I do drag racing my car. But that said I can see how everyone thinks its easy and boring in a slower car, but as you go faster it gets more fun and is a more difficult thing to do. I have a foot brake turbo car and it is hard to stage and launch on time under boost since I dont have a trans brake. Though its no where near as difficult as taking the bike around for a session. Different strokes.
