I ran into this older guy parked in the road blocking traffic. As I drove around he, exited his car and began trying to push it. So I quickly turned around parked, and went to help him. I shared the story with my wife, and she was like OMG. and pulled up a missing person report, and started to read it to me. When I described car, and man. She called authorities and reported his location. So He is now safe and at home! Link to story... http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2014/01/15/upper-arlington-missing-85-year-old-man.html5 points

Day 7 smoke free for me. I did invest in a new vape to ease cravings, and it does just that. Haven't missed cigs at all the last 5 days, but the first couple were a challenge trying to program my head around relying solely on the vape. Feeling better everyday too3 points

If people who care about guns can't even figure out the local law day to day....how should a non-carrying citizen be able to keep up? Who is in the wrong here? The "concerned citizen" for not knowing the flavor of the month law? The dispatchers for not knowing the entire story? The school for taking the information at face value, and protecting the kids with a lockdown? It's a no win situation, after that first 911 call is placed. This will NOT stop happening until the majority of the population and police departments are better EDUCATED!2 points

Since you are advertising your shop and want to improve its' name maybe you should think about becoming a sponsor on OR instead of just throwing it out there. There are plenty of other shops that are sponsors on OR. OR members tend to support those that have paid to advertise here. Corrected grammar and spelling errors made during a hastely written initial post.2 points

If you want to 'fight for the front,' do it by becoming a better rider. On a group ride...faster, smoother riders are waved to the front or asked to lead.2 points

Is that rate taken by the percentage of the population vs number of crimes committed though? Surely the U.S. is more populated now in comparison to almost 80 yrs ago, which would drive the rate down while allowing the number of crimes to inflate. But I get what you're saying, rate vs rate is still relavent2 points

Agreed. Doesn't sound like as much of a pussy as I had initially thought. He might have to go to Rushmore. I was looking forward to an epicaly funny thread here.....and now feel cheated somehow. Damn.2 points

I've been vaping for 3 weeks. I like it only 3-4 cigs in that time. Costs me 12.50 for a "carton" and each cartridge lasts me 4-5. My lungs feel so much better1 point

My father in law was largely responsible for shutting down organized crime. Funny that a white person does not dare enter the area where the organized crime was. Organized crime kept the rift raff away. Street justice is a bitch but the gubberment couldn't stand the fact there was competition in keeping city streets safe.Ps. Privatize every single police department1 point

I stayed out of this thread because I quit around the same time as the OP, beginning of Dec. I didn't want to steal his thunder, he deserves his own thread full of kudo's. But now that you bring up vaping I have to speak up. That is exactly what got me off the f'ing things. I only vap in the morning, after dinner and just before bed and then just a few puffs. I am totally free, no nerves, I don't want to kill anyone (except Magley) and I feel great.1 point

You got a 50 k dollar race bike you must be loaded. Shit I work my ass off and don't even have one of those1 point
-
Definitely - make sure to jump at it, never know how long a free link will stay up I'm finding the vape a favorable alternative, Lee. And at the price of smokes now, and at an average of a pack a day, the vape will save you money after the first 2 weeks. Cost me $75 to set myself up for 2 months, and then its only about $10 a month after that until I ween down to the 0mg nicotine fluid and finally quit the vape. Huge money saver, and a considerably healthier vice. I am also learning how bad smokers smell to nonsmokers.....stinky bastards smell like a tobacco bonfire to me now1 point

Since my dog has tape worms I'm Contemplating dropping off my stool sample at the vet. It's only $12 for analysis.1 point

Again, I'd generally believe Parks, who aside from his personal interest in firearms also has a responsibility as part of his employment to understand the law... If the language says "in a vehicle" and you get out of the vehicle, you're no longer "in a vehicle" this is why lawyers are paid so well, interpretation of the law can get complicated...1 point
-
This isn't true, although it seems a lot of people believe it to be. The law doesn't state that you can't exit your vehicle. It states you must be in the process of dropping off or picking up your child and you can't enter the building. Part of me dropping off my child may very well be opening the trunk, exiting the car and handing my child his backpack.1 point

I am in no matter the date, but spring is preffered! I swept the second medium/fast group, and all was well(we were second group to leave)...I would lead/sweep again this year too.1 point
-
The way a thread goes around here is largely dependent on the OP's follow up responses and attitude. Dude took it like a pro and not a little bitch so there was no need amp it up any further1 point
-
I'm in for early spring or fall! Hoping my schedule works out and I can make it again. I'll likely volunteer to run sweep on a group if I do make it. However, if that does happen and somehow I'm involved like I was last year I'm going to be extremely picky about who the hell is in my group. If I don't know you or have someone that I know vouch for you, I'll likely prefer you ride in another group.1 point

Alright. I made a poll for the season. It's Multiple choice. From there, we can narrow down a date. So the poll will get changed, after a season is selected. From there we can plan a meetup. I also changed tha title so we can plan everything here.1 point

Wow for 23 I'm impressed. Let me give you a little nugget though. Everything you want and state you are looking for can all be done without a club. When I started riding I had zero friends who rode. Almost 5 years of being a forum member and I bet I have at least 30 friends I met through this forum. You don't need no stinkin club! Also, ride with the right guys and your skill level will develop 10 fold Lastly, "fighting for the front" for any group ride is about the worst idea ever and will surely result in some serious wrecks. So in the interest of fellow motorcyclist safety, please rethink that1 point

I didn't know you were allowed to post on here if you don't own a bike So many it'll make your head spin! But seriously, no. Lol No harm, no foul. Please refer to my post on another thread: "I can understand that the MC concept may not be as appealing to others as I and had been expecting some ridicule... but hey, this wouldn't be a forum without it lol, let alone be the Internet I've got thick enough skin and plan to endure. I'm just looking to make friends, participate in said gatherings and lie-telling... and not just in the club but in OR as well.!I'm 23 and have no friends that ride... Just looking for a good time, to talk motorcycles, shop and women, in no particular order. Coming from a very tight knit group of 13 friends that all seem to be drifting different directions in life, I kind of miss that comradery and hope to achieve something similar with this MC. If you're looking for the same, let's get rowdy! If not, that's cool too (yawn)." Note that you sound like a grumpy old man in your posts...additionally, this will be a sportbike club. No formations, you fight for the front. If you are truly interested in the opportunity, please PM me.1 point

Just because someone saw the gun didn't mean he was open carrying. That info isn't given in the article. New Albany is a good department, good officers.1 point

Most any modern motorcycle should be able go well beyond 50k if you follow the maintenance schedule. No, I don't consider Harley's to be modern I would have no problem buying a bike with 30k+ if it had good maintenance history, and wasn't beat to death on a track.1 point

Perhaps he should be given the same courtesy his victim received... I'm appalled that murderers can, when faced with their death, suddenly flip to being a victim. You killed someone, you should not be given a quick & painless death in my opinion. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk1 point
