  2. SE Ohio and WV have some amazing roads for sport bikes. If you're willing to ride a few hundred miles in a day, you may just find sport bike Nirvana. When the weather cooperates there will be plenty of group rides posted. There's a good number of seasoned ride leaders that post on this board, with plenty of knowledge about riding/motorcycles/routes. Get some gear if you don't already have it. Helmet, armored jacket, gloves, and over the ankle boots at a minimum. Armored pants or a riding suit are a really good idea, too. Learn proper riding/cornering technique. Watch this DVD or read the book. Everything you need to know about sport riding is in here http://www.amazon.com/Twist-Wrist-Vol-High-Performance-Motorcycle/dp/0965045021Another good source http://www.sportrider.com/motorcycle_riding/techniques/Do a trackdayPick the brains of veteran riders Don't be one of the guys that wants to show everyone how fast he is, only to crash on your first group ride...never to return. There have been too many of those guys to count. No matter how good of a rider you are or how fast your bike is, there will always be someone better, faster, smoother. Leave the ego at home. Use it as an opportunity to to learn. Ask questions at gas stops, ask someone to follow you though the corners to give feedback, etc. And read this: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/flashback/122_0911_the_pace_nick_ienatsch/ I'm sure others will chime in with stuff I didn't mention...

  5. Sometimes I hate being single, but I'm pretty sure I hate dating even more. Mostly I just want warmer weather so I can ride. That's all.

  6. so ill be racing the Grom with OMRL this season. right now it is going to run in F3 class. I they are unsure right now if the the Grom will be aloud to run exhaust and air filter mods, but i decided id go ahead with it anyway, and we are gonna use my bike as a test mule for if it will still remain in f3. Here is the cool thing, Honda Marysville is actually sponsoring my bike the season. Very awesome of them. They are supplying me with some of parts to help out this season. Also I gave a call to Oliver, owner of sportbikelites.com to ask him about the billet rear sets they offer, and we started chatting and he ended up hooking me up with rear sets and brake line @ cost. so what have ordered so far.. Ohlins Shock (thanks Riders Discount) Tyga Moto Maggot full exhaust (thanks Ebay) SBL Billet adjustable rear sets (thanks Sportbikelites.com) Core motor Braided front brake line (thanks Sportbikelites.com) and thanks Marysville Honda for.. Dunlop TT93 GP tires Protaper EVO bars and mounts WPS featherweight lithium battery JT 14 tooth front sprocket still to be ordered are.. k&n pod filter Racetech Gold valve kit and springs Bazazz ZFI and dynotune so a big concern for me with the Grom is the weight. its 225lbs wet, the other bikes in the class around around 164lbs. the other being gearing, which i won't know the outcome till i get to track. pulling off the rear license plate holder/fender/turn signal assembly dropped 5lbs off the bike. The headlight assembly should net me another 6-10lbs of weight reduction. tonight i installed what parts came in.. the ohlins shock and full exhaust old exhaust weighed in at 11.10lbs new exhaust weighs in at 3.25lbs

  9. Lol....careful now, she scours the internet on a regular basis looking for people mentioning her name...right after she scours the gaps in the couch cushions for m&m's.

  10. Appreciate that, but I'm gonna stick with the one click buy button at Amazon. Working at that detailed level on this thing will make me want to smoke again.

  11. Everyone should know how to throw it sideways and enjoy it. Makes it so much easier to survive when it happens without warning. Yeah, that means get a dirt bike... I power slid sideways pulling into morning traffic on a cold road. Quick juggle the power and balance. Yeah, as usual, scared the crap out of the cars around me. I rather enjoyed it. Couldn't back off, there were cars coming at me. Well, ok, I could have aborted up the middle turn lane... edit: Yes, I'm too old for that crap.

  15. Come to Coshocton with Hutch and I, as long as you listen to our warning talk before the ride you'll have a great day. If you don't, you'll find yourself under a guard rail or in the woods somewhere. This is common knowledge.

  18. That is a beautiful bike. Major step up from the katana. I had an older Mille and it was a great bike. You will certainly love this bike.

  20. puff the faggy dragon (faggy, strictly implying fag, as commonly referenced across the pond, not "tip to tip" faggy unless we're talking about using a lit fag to light up another fag, as in cigarette, not a homosexual lit on fire and bodily using said homosexual to engulf another homosexual in flames)

  21. I'm planning to dispose of mine ultimately, but in no big hurry to do so. The major money savings is a huge factor for me as well, so investing more into a new habit would negate, at least partially, that reason in itself. Stupidest word? Personally, I don't think so.......it reminds me more of astronauts felching from one another while in orbit. I'll have Ben change my s/n to Darth Vaper just because it bugs you THAT much
