  1. It says in the bible that motorcycles should be cruisers on the road and that you should be armed. If the rest of you want to risk eternal damnation at the track, that is up to you.

  3. seeing as i don't do this as a business anymore, there is no tax anymore. I'm thinking of doing a spring tire mounting meet and greet. a one day deal $15 a tire off the bike, $30 on the bike (sport bike)

  4. I feel like some of the people mentioning the hazards of street riding have also been resistant to track days. Is that my imagination, or is the $150 for Nelson less than the cost of gas and lodging for a deal's Gap trip?

  5. I was pissed back when the black album came out, Justice rocked along with every album prior to it. Ironic that Metallica started out setting trends in the industry, only to wind up trying to follow them later money hungry hacks. As for that new Horlet album, it's still in my truck's cd player as well. Best metal band out of Dayton in a while. They've put together some good material, and sound good live too. I've known Eric Barnes ( drummer ) for almost 20 years since my first band, but he wasn't this good way back then LOL. Never know, they may get picked up and be on their way soon. We'll be playing some more shows with them this year for sure.

  11. Black Album onward is basically Nickelback quality shit. When you think about it, it's kind of amazing how quickly such a once-great band jumped the shark.

  13. I never said it couldn't be fun just said it wasn't adventurous by my definition. And yes I know it's not a perfect circle. Adventure by my definition is seeing different sights and landscapes around every corner, meeting the different people and cultures. Cycling to me isn't about how fast I can get our homing my skills, its about exploring and seeing different things and maybe how far I can get. I each their own but I know it's not for me. When I set out on a ride the first thing that goes through my mind is "where haven't I been".

  14. Track days have so much less... no on coming traffic, no hogs or other animals, no speed limit, no trucks, no mini vans or cars, and no tolerance to bs. What they offer is a safer environment to riding with professional guidance. Track days do cost less in the beginning, then the addiction starts. For me I found love on the track, I found a way to become one with my bike. All your focus is on the bike, your position and the track. No worries about on coming traffic or animals. I found out my bike will do most of the work if I trust and respect her she will give me an adrenaline full ride.

  16. Lol with four kids that would be a very expensive option. Would be hard to build up anything on a post divorce budget.

  19. Welcome to another CBRer. I have ridden Mid-O, PIRC and Nelson. All are fun, but Mid-O is a step or two above. I rode in novice and they have a great program at Mid-O. If you go, post up your date(s) and we'll look for you. They do offer a lot of dates, but as noted at other times, most are weekdays. It will be fun no matter where you go!
