  7. This argument is really comparing apples to oranges, Harleys can be great bikes and may be less reliable then metric bikes and are usually purchased by fat old posers however there are exceptions, they are meant to be loud and look cool. While sportbikes are usually purchased by young dumb squids who brag about performance figures they can not personally exploit also with a few exceptions, In the end who cares just ride what you like.

  8. The difference of course is that the "power rangers" suit is a functional piece of safety equipment... please tell me how the leather vest and tassels have function...

  11. You are fine. It would take a bad guy at your internet provider to nail you on that one. Assuming she was really at Amazon. No reason to think she wasn't, just pointing it out.

  12. http://absolutebsblog.com/2014/02/22/valkyrie-defense-group-big-announcement/ Jagr and I have been given free reign over a club in Coshocton now as their exclusive training instructors. This opens the door to tons of opportunities for us and we are pretty excited. Just thought I would share. We are planning on hosting a variety of classes in summer now from the beginner to the advanced and even to couples and I know some folks here might be interested.

  14. Shall not be infringed. I have changed my opinion on this since posting. No other right istaken away when you screw up for life except this one. If I scream fire in a crowded theater I go to jail but retain my right to free speech. Yet for screaming fire I would lose my right to own a gun.

  17. The only gear I wear when I ride is a helmet, gloves, boots and a leather coat if it’s not too hot. Otherwise I’m totally naked

  18. Cruise - fatalities are unlikely when you're standing next to a motorcycle, plus you have tons of safety bandanas. Sport - squids don't usually wear power ranger suits, or much gear except for maybe a mohawk glued on a helmet. Seriously though, I've seen more crashed cruisers than crashed sportbikes. I only ride with people that wear gear and I've never had someone I was riding with get injured.

  19. I believe he said "the stereotypical HD rider." the humor in any stereotype comes from the inherent absurdity of believing it actually applies to ALL members of a given group. If it hasn't been obvious from my posts in this thread, I vacillate on Harleys. I have no plans or desire to own one, and I think they are mechanically inferior in some ways to their competition, but at the same time, I applaud their ability to market and build brand loyalty. Enthusiasm for low-powered and out-dated two-wheeled technology is still enthusiasm for two-wheels. That (generally) benefits all of us, and is something to embrace.

  20. resale value is a negative in my book, I've never bought a new bike (or a new car), so the quicker it depreciates, the quicker it's cheap, and then I get a newer bike, letting other people eat the depreciation...

  21. On this comical scale, where would you rank adult men playing dress-up? edit for visual aid

  22. Resale doesn't mean much to anyone, but HD riders. I couldnt care less what my bike is worth, I plan to ride it til it falls apart. Stereotypically, HD owners ride to and from the bar, only putting 300-500 miles a year before moving to the next shiny pile of chrome. I don't mind the bikes, they are decent enough and though it's taken 60 years, they finally have a reliable powerplant. Sent while riding

  23. it has one. www.ohiominigp.com As for the give-away, I'm going to be realistic about the objective here: publicity and promotion for the dealership. No need to hide that or apologize for it. With that said, "checking in" on facebook at the dealership, or posting a pic of yourself in front of the dealer would be a good way to generate the desired publicity, and each pic/check-in would be a single raffle entry. In the alternative (or in conjunction with the picture entry), you could also buy raffle tickets at $X to benefit a charity of the dealership's choice.

  28. So my fiancé ordered something via Amazon this morning on her iPad before I was able to update it. How screwed are we?

  29. So I updated my iPad to 7.0.6, but my wife is still on 6. Can she get a security update without going to 7? I found updates for 6.1.6, but they say they are for iPhones and iPods.

  34. The ssl in ios is broke, you bank transaction for example is not safe as it travels the wire between your computer and the banks website. Maybe using something besides safari will fix it, but that needs more testing. Apple released a patch for the phones, but the desktops laptops on osx are still unpatched. Apple will move fast on this.

  35. Got more info on that?

  36. Ok, there is no patch for OSX fight now. Don't bank or use your credit cards online for now.

  37. I'm sorry to hear that brother. I never really understood the saying that after someone dies they are in a better place, but I have started to understand the true meaning behind it. My problem is that I'm selfish and want them with me, but never thought about the pain they might be feeling. It's hard to let go sometimes, but you have to know that is really can be for the better. A good friend of ours found out a few months ago that she has stage 4 cancer and has decided to go ahead and fight the good fight. Her favorite word happens to be fuck, so I made her this shirt. She has had so many people ask to buy it that we are going to start producing it on a larger scale and donate to a charity in her name. And I absolutely agree with your statement, fuck cancer. Edit: Oops, I can't spell.

  38. Track addiction......that's more of a gentle euphemism for "Hi, my name's Jason. I sold my house and built a bigger garage to sleep that much closer to all of the trackbikes that have completely fubar'd my financial well-being......Anybody take a blowie for some fuel and ramen noodles?"

  39. Well...... I'm 40ish and I'm not saying that's old but most people my age have traded their sport bikes for cruisers. I can't do it. I love the way sport bikes look, handle and, last but not least the speed. Don't get me wrong. I love all bikes. If I had the money I'd own at least 20 or so.
