One of the guys on the Motoseries forum has some youth leathers for sale. Perhaps you could grow into a set of them by next season?http://www.motoseries.com/old/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21164 points

My satisfaction comes every other Friday when my check is deposited. I stay in it because it's what I trained for and I really only have to work 9 days a month when I do 24/48 rotations or 12 days a month when I do every other 12s, hard to beat the schedule and the Ins is top notch. I've become cold and numb to the emotional part of it as most in EMS do. As for family, yes I've seen several after the fact and all want to forget those last moments. When the Nero stops many things happen. Bladder releases Bowls release Stomach releases Pulseless lifeless movements happen to confuse and haunt I could go on but you get the point.2 points

I feel like between here and Wera you're posting about this you 100% have to be getting paid by OMRL or something. No really, I believe this.2 points

Cops should just not chase sport bikes. If the guy isn't gonna stop for one cop, he's not going to stop for 20 cops. Yes the rider is in the wrong for whatever he was doing in the first place plus running on top of it. Yes you should always pull over for the cops. But for a cop to chase a bike he has no chance of catching? It just spurs the rider to higher speeds and makes an already dangerous situation more so. Get the tag number and wait around his neighborhood if you want him that bad.1 point

Aaaaaaaand that's a wrap. Danny pretty much owned that race. He could have late braked anyone that he wanted anywhere just about. Congrats to Danny and RD for putting on a good one!1 point

Better yet, get training and be self reliant. Stop your own bleeding.1 point

So the last memory your loved one has of you is watching you die? That is completely selfish. I've yet to have one single family member act happy or grateful they watched a loved one die. Usually it's the nightmares that lead to sleepless nights, depression, poor job performance, and sometimes suicide. Keep being selfish people. Job security for me.1 point

missed this thread, and I'm far from local, but it jumped out at me because of the NCAA bracket matchup with OSU. GO FLYERS! Plus I like when people ride old bikes. I assume you're immediately more hardcore. Like you want to ride so badly, that even an old XJ is good enough. I mean that in the nicest way possible. welcome.1 point

I don't recall whose thread it was, but be smart about what you buy, versus what you want to pay. un-insured and under-insured motorist coverage is VERY important (IMHO) for riders, because you're talking about payment for your injuries. I ride disposable bikes, so I don't really care much about the other person's policy limits as far as fixing or replacing that, but I am not cheap to repair. Nor are my passengers. I paid more like $400/year on my '97 EX500, but I had a TON of coverage in case the other person didn't. $300 difference is chump change to protect yourself.1 point

Nope. Sold bike/trailer stuff last year in the thought of getting a newer bike an paid off some loans. Now I can't bring myself to spend $10k to get a bike that I would like that is setup properly. Combined with worse then I thought injuries from work and the Nelson carnage in 2012, it was not advisable to get into another big crash again.1 point

To be specific, the complaint was about a 80% lower made of polymer from EP Armory. It has two different colored polymers, one is for the portion that gets removed. Ares Armory sells them. Supposedly a newer decision has been made that it is still ok as an 80%. But apparently actions are still proceeding based on another previous decision that they are not. Also disregarding a previous previous decision that they were ok. Remember that this is California, and if one or more showed up on the street, actions would be taken regardless. As far as I know, the design of 80% lowers is regulated, and have to be submitted for review in order to qualify and be sold. http://cdn3.volusion.com/rhqso.ycmfs/v/vspfiles/photos/BUY5-1.jpg?1393416077 http://www.eparmory.com/Lower-Receivers-s/1819.htm edit: More specific, if the 80% sample submitted is found to NOT have the following done, it is not a firearm. 1. Milling out of fire-control cavity.2. Selector-lever hole drilled.3. Cutting of trigger slot.4. Drilling of trigger pin hole.5. Drilling of hammer pin hole. Obviously confusion on how to handle a two tone polymer. It could be said that it was finished and filled back in or something. Also, at the federal level it is ok to build your own firearm unless it's short barrel or full auto or other prohibited type. At the state level, laws will vary.1 point

Springtime out and abouts: summary rough winter and lotsa potholes....what i have found on my precious few outings is...USR62 is terrible between Brinkhaven and Danville. You will find ruts that will snatch the handle bars away from you...be careful. At SR206 and down them wonderful curves are the last year's tar snakes....wet and its skippy time. summer? when tar get oozey? Danville and the Danvll-Amity Rd. uh, don't go....I'm not sure I like traveling it with the SUV. Pavement rough and patches make it worse, as some of the patches are gone. Danville-Howard Rd. uhmm, okay, they chipped and sealed it last summer, with pea gravel...Knox Co. Seems to like the lil' rolly pea sized stones. Howard Hilton, okay burgers....Apple Valley eatery has reopened, same guy that has two places in Mt. Vernon...also decent burgers. Wally Road, connecting Greer on SR514 and to SR3 at Loudonville. Consider the Greer side of Wally Rd as you would a gravel road, pretty much all the pavement from Tree Frog to Greer is gone. So if you like rattling plastic or on an adventure bike...otherwise.....avoid it. Other odds and ends....SR83 from Millersburg South to Coshocton and New Concord pretty good. I actually cut off of 83 onto SR209 to Cambridge. 209 is patched in places but passable. Poked around back roads in Guernsey Co. Area around Salt Fork....found some very nice tight twisty roads. Birmingham Rd?.....popped out on the other side of Salt Fork and headed north(?). I'll hafta figure out which roads I played on....let y'all know later. SR22 by Salt Fork is okay....and speaking of which....just out of Cambridge towards Salt Fork will be Deerassic Classic come August 1 & 2. Coshocton....209 as mentioned above.....took SR658 to SR541, the east side of 541. I call the section from i77 to Coshocton East, and the part from Roscoe Village to Martinsburg is West. SR658 okay, passable, but it has some older patches....travel south on it looks to be better than going north. 541 east to Coshocton, not too bad....potholes not until Coshocton itself. Encountered lotsa gravel on these roads, most likely sprinkled down from last snow....rain and traffic should thin it out. Again be careful! More as I start traveling more.1 point

If you guys do end up going, you're welcome to take my 4x8 trailer. It's set up for 2 XR's, but could probably fit a third between them (facing backward) if you add a chock. 2 in the truck bed and 3 on the trailer would be a nice split for gas, so long as it's a 4-door truck cab.1 point

Got my barrel today...it's gorgeous. Went to my guy in kent to buy everything else but he no longer works out of his house during the week. Went to see him at his shop and ordered all my goodies. It's an hour drive so he's just going to call me back with shipping charges and I'll have it in a week, then I can build. A3 uppper, A2 stock, free float tube, probably a semi fancy muzzle brake, match trigger, no iron sights and a big fucking optic. Then it's time to grenade some gophers.1 point
