  1. Ditch the 2-3 hour thing. That is too long on the bike for her first real ride. An hour or so each way. So Hocking and the zip lines is a great idea. Another would be Mansfield, hit the reformatory, then the carousel and then lunch. Buy her lunch, don't try and pack it. Take all the stress and planning on her part out of it.

  3. Really? I doubt she makes plans for him, more like with him. There are other rides but friends and families come first. This is the mother of his children and if I am not mistaken he loves his wife.We miss out on riders from time to time because, our other has plans that are important to them. As a spouse you should support each other and enjoy everyday you have together. 20th we will all hook up later for a Dayton ride.

  4. What the cop is doing might not be illegal, and even if it was he's unlikely to get in any trouble. ...but it's a huge violation of one of the main concepts behind the bill of rights and to a lesser extent the constitution. Those who created those principles were trying very hard to prevent the gov't and police from poking their nose into your business unless they had a damn good reason that they could prove in court. By your logic, why not eliminate the 4th Amendment entirely? If they could search and seize at will, they could probably find a reason to arrest someone, right? So why not?.. because those that were willing to fight for freedom found it intolerable.

  5. Sometime before I die I would love to see a cop pull someone over for doing something actually unsafe on the road. Texting, tailgating, speeding in <45mph zones, dallying in the left lane, passing in the right lanes at a high rate of speed, not maintain line markers in a curve. Basically anything other than plain vanilla speeding and trivial infractions to sniff out drunk drivers.

  6. Pretty sure pregnant wifes request trumps all motorcycle rides. All that is really required at a wedding is bride, groom, and someone to officiate. We tried to get away with that and 80 people later we had a wedding.

  7. Pillions are nothing but trouble. Do what I did & get her her own ride. She'll have a lot more fun.

  8. I have never got the point of shooting something that's moving if you can't eat it? LOL J/K I have been thinking of taking up more bird hunting. Skeet and trap would be good to practice.

  10. Well I hate weddings. I don't think anyone should be "required" to go.

  18. This thread is not the place for a debate over his life with his pregnant wife. I'd use caution on this subject especially with so many women on here and one is his sister-n-law.Its also for Dayton riders to communicate wheither or not they are joining the ride.

  19. ^^THIS^^ It's not much different than riding with a small group of 4-6 where riders fend for themselves, only our groups are 10-12 riders with designated lead/sweep keeping everyone together. Up to those that would rather not ride with the organized groups, but I don't see much of a difference -- there's inherent danger no matter the group/speed/abilities

  20. I have also heard that the whole tire removal thing ruining deals is bullshit. I've talked to someone who actually considered purchasing, and the real problem seems to be that the ownership just wants some ridiculously high price. Who knows what the truth is. But I do know that they are content just sitting back and collecting our money as the track goes to shit. Pisses me off. I love the layout there and I love just being at that track. But something has to change. They showed a complete lack of concern and respect for our club by not going out on Saturday evening and at least patching some of those holes so we could race safely. They've done that in the past, but they decided to say "fuck you guys" this time. I hate to say it but things are not changing for the better for Moto Series at the moment. I'll run this season to see if there's any improvement, and because I love the club and the guys that make it up, but I'll be re-evaluating my options at the end of the season.

  21. The first three groups were very good other than an off in fast. But the organization was good and the groups were 8-10 people. The real obsticol will be getting medium and slow organized (this is where the cluster was). We need enough leads and sweeps to keep the group size down in medium and slow. Do not let the total size of the event scare you, as long as we keep good group size, everything will be fine.

  23. So if I didn't have a helmet on, he could have (hopefully) determined that I was not 74. But then he would for possible stolen vehicle. So should they pull over anyone who doesn't match the ethnicity of the registered owner? Black nanny driving white bosses kids around in bosses car. Husband driving wife's car who has her Liscence suspended? All these are lacking PC if you ask me. "I miss America"

  26. I don't think I would plug that one. If it is a staple, does that indicate there are 2 holes that close together? From the picture, the one end in the tread might not have made it all the way through. A shop I use is called Dougherty's Motorcycle repair, located in Oakwood. It is located right off 271 and Broadway / Forbes. (440) 439-8688, ask for Perry.

  27. How familiar are you with group riding? My advice is choose a slower group to start, even if it seems to slow. There's less pressure and the ride more fun. When the time is right to go faster you'll know.

  28. I agree. I don't think I would patch that one. I patched one myself and it held but it was always on my mind when I rode. I have read about people having plugs pull out on them. If it were located in a tread maybe I would consider patching. On a flat spot, I would replace it. And it looks like you would possibly have two holes to plug.

  30. It wasn't brand new at the time and haven't done one since because that was a tire and clutch ruined. Thanks for the welcome.

  31. I would just say replace it, not worth plugging a tire and having it leak or blow out. East side shops? I would just say stay away from riders choice, I know to many people who have bad results there.

  32. Which side do you want to pay me to argue on this? I can see both sides

  33. You can plug it yourself. Kits are $10 at autozone, plenty of youtube videos on how to do it but plugs can come out. East fix is to buy a new tire, Google 'motorcycle shops cleveland' and take it there. If you pull the wheel off and bring it to them it's usually around $25-35 to change tire and balance.

  34. Those links were taken from last years thread. I looked at the general overview and they looked accurate but I didn't verify the exact accuracy. The official route (which will be printed and handed out at the event) will be the following: http://goo.gl/maps/ZnwBZ I'll update the OP as well. Sorry for any confusion.
