Put a new starter in a gold wing for a guy I know from the bar. He's owned the bike for 15 or so years and the starter was always bad. Shop told him motor would have to come out to change it and wanted Hundreds of dollars. I did it with only removing the shifter and charged him $75. Never seen a man so happy to have his bike start right up with one thumb of the button.2 points

I didn't see any indication she slowed down when approaching the horse and buggy. Dumb ass refers to both of them and anyone that does that on a bike or in a car. That is how people and animals get killed.2 points

Might wanna check your manual, Seems to me the manual says on the center stand (based on changing oil on a friends 2000 1100xx)2 points

Today and tomorrow are members pre-opening invite days. Members can bring up to 4 friends with them. Official opening is on Friday, but that's all been posted. Today, the wife and I had to check it out. Now, if you have followed them on Facebook, you know they have been doing a ton of track prep. It is faster. Is the drifting all gone? Well, that would depend on how you drive. In my first session, I could not resist hammering the gas and stabbing the brakes. Plenty of option to drift still. Second session, I settled in a little more and tried to learn the track a bit. Low and behold, I got a respectable time, with noticeable difference from winter sessions, and after track prep. I think my Winter fastest time was 42.079 and that was after 5 lap sessions. Came right in today starting in the same'ish time 42.089. First session Second Session Make note of my wifes' times in the second session. That is pretty damn good for someone who isn't really into cars, but LOVES these Go Karts. I was able to get my time down to 40.046 And I'm fine with that. Someone will clock off a 37.xxx before much longer. A fastest time was set while we were on the track, by Steve, an employee I have gotten to know. He got the 38.726. However Kent, the track manager, went right out and laid down a 38.5xx I believe in the next session. I think this place is going to be keeping us all very competitive. A couple notable things. The staff/management are awesome. The management is very involved and excited to see you having fun. That just makes it even more enjoyable. They have some newer people, so it will take them a minute to find their grove, but they are adamant about getting you taken care of. If you do not get a pre-opening membership, 5/15 is the last day, you will wish you had. Buy it online now. Also, they are ready for use to set up our OR track event. It would seem that week nights would be best for this. I'm sure their weekends are going to be far too busy with public traffic. I will talk to them this week to get us on the calender. Please read this in detail to help you be informed for your visits. You will see, a membership is the way to go.1 point

"You are one of those annoyingly loud gamers that talks shit playing call of duty aren't you?" quipped the guy who ran his mouth rather posthaste on an online car community forum. The plot thickened from there. As some members stayed on topic and went about their business, the burly ballroom dancer sat anxiously behind his keyboard awaiting a reply to what was surely, in his mind if not elsewhere, a poignant and coherent thought that was indubitably relevant to the discussion at hand. Alas, he was wrong once again, and no further ammunition was offered him. He relinquished to sit alone, pondering why nobody wished to communicate with him any longer on that stormy eve. ~ fin ~1 point

There are people in the world who find reasons to not do something and people who find ways to do things. You can't reason with the first.1 point

Our cat is very territorial with other cats But he is friendly with all the dogs in our condo association and lets them come around him with no problems But he is at least 2X bigger then all of them. he also love kids when we moved in some of the parents were afraid to let their kids out when they first saw him he is so big. In our house what’s his is his and what’s ours is his. He is house trained and rings a bell when he wants out. he also comes when we call him. He will also play catch when in the mood.1 point

I can't decide what I want to do with my new VFR. Should I keep it and sell the 1K or sell both of them for a Super Duke?1 point

My 1982 GS 850 has a sight glass. My garage floor is level. When checking the oil, I squat down next to the bike on the right side, grab the front brake, stand the bike straight up, ( the side stand is on the left side ) while crouching down looking at the oil level in the sight glass. Engine cold. My biggest concern is not having the bike fall over on top of me, if i pull it over too much to the right side.1 point

instead of letting Asshole McMiata ruin the greatness I turned this thread in to, I'm going to give C-bus some credit! You beat CLE in another thing: http://m.theatlanticcities.com/housing/2014/05/where-us-middle-class-can-still-afford-buy-house/9091/ Look what you've done asshole, now I'm defending Columbus1 point

I've been to asshole flats and enjoyed their pizza thoroughly, but I have never ridden there on my motor bike. Then again, I don't ride much around here anymore, unless I am going to Granda080s house, or work.1 point

Same here, usually swap filters every other oil change and drop the oil cold as well. Haven't heard of too many others doing the same, so kudos for being as equally eclectic I would assume over filling the pan could cause cavitation around moving parts, eventually starving them and possibly interfere with how the wash plates work with the flow in the pan? May even push some oil out of the cv tube ( case vent ) which would end up on the ground or in the airbox depending on how it's routed? Fluid capacities are spec'd for a reason Oh, and my service manual wants the bike upright with oil level towards the top of the sight glass' full mark. Wish mine used an actual dipstick so I could mark it accordingly to check it on the side stand, but the clutch basket would make quick work of it for sure1 point

On many bikes, oil in the air filter. Others it will foam up big time and not lubricate very well.1 point

I've done it before, it's not a very reliable connection method. I'd advise using a wire tap onto the fused side of whatever circuit you're leeching for the positive side, rather than jamming into your fuse box. They are pretty cheap and make a more reliable connection. Another method would be to wire directly to the battery with an inline fuse holder. You could tap off a switched circuit with this method as well.1 point

Welcome. I'll try and beat everyone else to the punch... Buy quality full gear if you haven't already. Boots pants jacket gloves helmet. It has saved a lot of people on here, myself included. Take the msf class. It will make you a better rider and is well worth the time and money. Plenty of members down that way to ride with. I'm a bit far away but maybe we will run into each other at a ride. Have fun.1 point

Show me a starving person in America who is not a victim of abuse. We've got the fattest, highest-tech, most tattooed, junk-food eating starving people in the world. Spend that trillion on government cheese, milk, eggs, quality meat, and fresh produce and I'll support with all my heart. Send these worthless fucks a check? I'm out.1 point

I'm only "conservative" when it comes to money and all the freeloading non working assholes that eat up my tax dollars and contribute nothing but disease and worthlessness to society. I fall in to a little known political party called the "fuckofficanats" where party lines mean nothing and smart decisions are actually made1 point
