  1. Too bad this happened in Canada...because I'd use it for the reason that I mow down the fucking geese that are always around here, crossing the road, stopping traffic. I hate those fucking flying carp!

  4. Company's or corporation's do not exist to provide you a job, they exist to make money... Period! Hobby Lobby just as Chick Felet are owned and operated by families who are Christian and run their company's with the same belief as they live and operate there lives. Understand I may not believe in nor live how they live, but I do understand in a free society they should be able to run "THEIR" company as they see fit. Our government has no right to define and mandate what free indevidules or companies have to offer, especially if it has to do with personal belief or religious belief. It is very easy to not shop or work for a company if you do not like how they conduct business. The market will take care of companies who do not take care of employees or do not offer a product that people want. This is the whole idea around free markets. If another company pays better or provides benefits that people want or need, they will attract talent and prosper. The exact opposite is true for the company who does not provide for employees. Bottom line the government should not be allowed to dictate something that is really not nesicary.

  12. firstly - i hate the title of this thread. same bullshit tactics the media uses to deceive about the real issue. its not life in prison for saving ducks. its possible life in prison for negligent homicide. "maximum" sentences are never carried out. she will get less 5yrs, if she even goes to prison at all. i suspect she will get a long probation term, 90 days in jail, and a ton of restitution. i was facing 18 months at one point for a traffic stop...that was my "maximum" sentence....i ended up with 18hrs in jail (when stop happened - time served after) and probation/community service 18 hours vs 18 months is a big gap. please stop playing this bs game ...."life in prison for saving ducks".....fuck. strikes a nerve.

  19. I hit a car stopped in the left lane of I-90 in March. In my case, there was a tall dividing wall, and the road curved to the left. It was also snowing hard. All three of those factors made it extremely difficult to see. It could have been dark or foggy. Stopping in a lane of travel on the highway is incredibly dangerous.

  20. I am in Columbus, Ohio. I have been thinking about it and there are some other things that I should really be doing before I sync the carbs. I need to adjust the cam chain tension (looks to be easy... just idle the bike and loosen then tighten two bolts), check the timing (a bit more complicated, but do-able. will need a timing light), figure out what is going on with the charging system (i ran a multimeter between the battery terminals and a fully charged battery has the 12 V that it is supposed to have but it does not climb up to the 14V it is supposed to have at 5000 RPM. I am going to take the cover off the alternator and check the brushes, rotor and stator tonight). I also need to check for a vacuum leak and replace the air filter because it gets a high idle after it has been riding for a little while (vacuum leak test is apparently spraying starter fluid on the carb boots while the engine is running, air filter change should be cheap and easy). I should probably be checking the valve clearances as well, but I don't understand the factory service manual section about how to do it. I also have 4 into 2 exhaust that I want to put on it, because the 4 into 4 that is currently on it is rusted through in a few places. I may also need to re-seat the choke shafts because it is not actuating properly, but taking the carb bank out of this thing and putting it back in is a major "b-word" that I would like to avoid. Like I said, bike was abandoned. Really needs tuned up, and I am trying to do as much of it as I can. It is my first bike, and I only really had it for a couple of months, but I feel like I am getting to know it backwards and forwards at this point.

  21. Value Decision: potential loss of baby duck lives > potential loss of human life = stupid bimbo How about the offer of mandatory sterilization so she doesn't pass along her defective genes….just a thought.

  22. The premise of this case was dumb. It assumes that the mandate in the ACA is constitutional, which I flatly disagree with. There is no "right" outcome when the basis for the decision is predicated on a wrong policy... I do laugh at the people who are trying to make this a feminism issue though. I keep asking outraged women, "So you're telling me a woman should have an unrestricted right to choose her form of 'birth control' that is provided by her employer - women should always have the right to choose ...unless that woman is a business owner choosing what insurance coverage her company should offer (or not offer) to her employees? Am I getting that right?" this notion that it's a bunch of men conspiring to keep women down is laughable to me. The Catholic Church is a bunch of old white guys making decisions, but the government isn't responsible for their views... Repeal the ACA mandate for employers to provide health care coverage, and this problem goes away completely.

  23. <OFF TOPIC> This is probably my biggest issue with many of the "religion" based cases that make it into the legal system... I can understand that a business entity can be formed around, and ran based on, the principles that are laid out within a set of religious beliefs, but the business itself is only "Christian" on the basis that the owners or founders are...</OFF TOPIC> This... And This.... And This... All the above quotes should equal /END THREAD... but then again... What a minute... stop the presses.... you said what... we should what...READ?
