  3. I live in Phoenix, I ride in full gear (1000wt cordura pants, jacket, full face helmet, leather gloves, riding boots). Good gear breathes. Most important thing is stay hydrated. Ride in places where you move constantly, not stop and go. If you can't handle it, go home asap and chug Gatorade. (I have a can of the powder at home all the time). Remember, its much less painful, and much less expensive to sweat than it is to bleed.

  5. we took the our 1 week old wildcat out for its first ride on the trail at wayne national forrest. thing performed amazingly in all conditions. climbed through mud holes great, blasted down the trails, and handled the whoops just fine. my wife decided she wanted to drive, we were follow 2 friends on raptor 700s, and as we are going up a small incline she was moving pretty good, i saw a huge root that was sticking out into the trail from a tree the trail was cut out, figured she would swerve to miss it, well she didn't see it and blasted it with the right front wheel at about 30 mph, that shot us to the left head on into a tree. damage that i can see thus far is right front wheel bent, right front tie rod bent, right front upper and lower A arms bent and pushed back about an inch, right front sway bar end link bent, front grill busted up, the frame work for the grill snapped on the left side, and thats all i can tell at the moment. I'm not gonna tear into yet, i have full coverage on it, and I'm gonna use it. i have never used my insurance on any motorcycle, dirt bike, or sxs i have owned in the last 6 years or so, so i think its time to get my monies worth. im gonna upgrade to aftermarket wheels, and definitely ordering a front bumper for it asap. thanks for tim for waiting on us to make sure we could keep going, and thanks to adam for being a gracious host to us, and making sure we got back to his camper area to load up.

  6. your correct on the 4 in screws on the striker plates, the place i bought in April - had 1 in screws in the striker plates, i still smh at that crap. I also have 2 dead bolts on each door...something else to think about when it comes to garages, thieves can press the top center of your garage door in and use a coat hanger to try and trip the release hanlde on your door. Once they do anything in your garage can be had. I zip tied mine so it wont release and put a piece of wood block in front of it. Also - i never have my garage door open so the neighbor's can see my bike or car or anything expensive in my garage because you never know.

  7. You don't progress by watching or being a groupie. You progress by doing, a trackday is a fast track to progression.

  8. You can get some cheap trail cameras or video cameras on flea bay. Install these in remote concealed areas. When something happens. Go hunting. Careful to play by the law when you catch him. I put a 30/06 round through an engine block once and got in little trouble. But it was worth it. People know what I'm about in the neighbor hood now.

  13. Guilty or not, I don't really give a fuck...because if that happened to me, I wouldn't want to live. You could just go ahead and stone me to death, or leave me in a hot car...without my son, I wouldn't really give a fuck.

  14. Bicycle shorts under mesh overpants and a dry fit shirt under a mesh motorcycle jacket is actually cooler than you would think. As stated above, it keeps the sun off of you, but it allows the wind through the suit. Remember: Dress for the crash, not for the ride.

  15. The bags are a little wider on the FJR making it harder to fit on the trailer. ST = Sport Trailering sorry Tim I couldn't resist. I rode the Connie & ST 1300 both and the FJR just worked best for me. Not to mention its so damn sexy lookin.

  17. I actually used to have a Z750S. She is 5' 2" and wasn't interested in trying to ride that one. An FZ6 might be an option, and it has FI.
