Someone needs to go to jail for a very long time. - If he DID do it, then throw away the key. - If she is lying, then she should get the same jail time that he would have been given.2 points

ISIS has had success because the Iraqi's can't fight worth a shit even with our equipment, weapons, and training. The Kurd's, on the other hand, can defend themselves effectively. At the very least we need to help the Kurd's push them back and also assist the Christians and Yazidis as much as possible with aid. Outside of that, we need to stay the fuck out of Iraq.2 points

I really liked this article about the relationship between comedians and depression. Totally on point. http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/robin-williams-why-funny-people-kill-themselves/2 points

Based on what? Have you ridden one? Best bike I've ever owned. I had a choice between a leftover 13 z1k and a 12 cb and after sitting on them, the cb won hands down.. Nimble, tons of power and torque, sure it won't do 180 but it'll keep up with supersports with 50 more hp from 0-100... What makes it a "bust"? Because it has less hp than the others? I'd be surprised if very many people here could even use the power it has to full potential. Shit, it wheelies in 1-3 wot. Stock suspension is fully adjustable and adequate for my big ass, at least as much as factory suspension can be. Brakes are adequate enough to lock up when you want to... I honestly can't think of one thing the gixxer does better, besides going in a straight line.. Can't be styling, the gixxer is pretty much an identical clone to my bike except no single sided swing arm... Just very curious why you think it's a bust.. We obviously all have our own opinions, not attacking you or anything, just puzzled1 point

I bought an RF-1200 in June and I'm very pleased with it. This replaced a Scorpion EXO-400 that I bought in a rush just before I got back into riding last year. I walked into the Iron Pony fully intending to get the Bell RS-1 but the sales guy (very skillfully) redirected me to the Shoei when I said I was most interested in reduced sound. And that I was not willing to try the Schuberth - maybe someday. Anyway the RF-1200 fits great, its very light, flows lots of air, and amazingly does not catch the wind when you turn your head.Though you get a noticeable cool blast of air into one of the top vents. I'm a bit disappointed in the sound levels though. I've played around with it and found the sound is coming from the bottom at the cheek pads where the chin strap goes through. Its a very small gap but above 60 or so it whistles a lot, depending on the position of the helmet. It's reduced if I keep my chin tucked down. It goes away if I put a hand up to near either of the sides. When I do that the helmet is impressively quiet - much quieter than the Scorpion that had whistles everywhere. I use the chin skirt usually but it doesn't change the whistle. So, some day when I'm not messing with something else I'm gonna try tape across that small gap to see if maybe some sort of skirt would help. I've looked at ads for whole bottom skirts, but I'll wait till the winter before I bottle every thing up like that. BTW, I ordered the (pricey) Transitions shield that they say they will eventually provide. But the August ship date has now changed to Sept. That was one of my primary reasons for wanting the Bell. I have an RF-1100 coming from an HJC CL-16 too. Night and day. I know the 1200 is "better" but I got the 1100 for a steal in a clearance sale. I'll assume the 1200 really is better, and damn, the 1100 kicks ass. Can ride all day (put in a 12 hour day last weekend) with no discomfort, cooling air flow is great, and air flow around the helmet at speed is way better. Only thing I didn't like was the lack of pin lock shield, but the 1200 comes with one. I thought the wind noise is only a little better in the Shoei than the HJC, but earplugs solve that anyway. My Cardo bluetooth headset fits fine.1 point

Crown is ok. A little sweet for my taste. In order for my bourbon taste Blantons (on special occasions) Makers Mark (just lowered the price equal to the below for 750ml) Bulliet Rye Since switching from beer to bourbon, I have maintianed a 20lb weight lose for about 2 years. Yes, I may have a small glass almost everynight, and maybe more. But bourbon on the rocks is my drink of choice anymore, and my liver enzymes are just fine1 point

Never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins. No one really knows the demons we each personally fight inside of our own heads. .1 point

I had this happen to me, after giving a serial number of a gun to a potential trade. It's easy to fight if (BIG IF HERE) you have a sales receipt of some sort. Any more, I make any trader/seller write and sign a bill of sale/trade, for this exact reason. I would go with Gump's suggestion, and have the guy give you some sort of reference to verify that his real intention is just to check the "hot list". In regard to him looking trust-able, his Facebook page saying he's a marine, etc... my Facebook page says I am God, work for Microsoft, and live in Hawaii... So I must be trust-able...1 point

I'd get there 1/2 hour before the start time (that's what I did). Basically, you register and choose which bike you want to ride. There will be a ride briefing and then you ride. The one in Cincinnati was about an 8 mile loop with some nice curves - each location will vary obviously. The rides are Yamaha led so don't expect to ride excessively fast, stunt, etc. They are very strict on this. After the ride, you can get back in line to sign up to ride another bike. I think you can ride up to three per day but it may depend on how many people there are. I rode the S10 and the VMax. The Yamaha folks were super nice and knowledgeable. I fully plan to buy an S10 next spring as long as I am still gainfully employed.1 point

That would be an accident instead of purposeful. I'm a bit sensitive to the suicide subject because I lost my step dad who I was very close with in March to the same thing1 point

I'm a sucker for technology and gadgets, but yeah, I think part of why I enjoy riding so much is that I can't even so much as look at my watch. Whatever time it is, it is. Whatever e-mails I'm getting... They'll just have to wait. Nothing exists but the ride1 point

Lol thanks. The final purchase happened exactly 1 month after I emailed him the first time. I had to wait for him to realize no one would pay him what he was asking, so that he'd lower the price1 point

Pretty cool helmet but not for $1400. Instead, Id buy an Arai for $900 and spend the other $500 on beer.1 point

Hey Jack! I have a RF-1200 I just got a the beginning of the season. I like the fit and feel much better than my X-12 which was much more of a "race" styled helmet. It seems to be as quite as my old trusty RF-1000, that I seem to judge all other helmets to. The new shield system gets mad props at being much smoother than those of resent years, though I kind of miss the "crack" feature of others I've had. If you plan on adding an intercom system like I have, this is a great helmet to do it in, even has the speaker pockets with more than enough room for even the larger ones. The vents work very well, even at lower speeds, though not as much flow as the X-12 I had most recently, but that is the price of a lower sound level and something more more "street" aimed.1 point

Nice meeting you guys out there. I will either be riding my bicycle in this next year of helping you guys, depending on my training dedication.1 point

Ditto! Very nice to meet you and (most of) the motorcycle escort riders. The bicycle riders appreciated our help and I know the command center sure did. I helped with popped tubes and sheared tires, dehydration, spent riders, one guy missing a turn, a few dangerous intersections, lane protection, coordination of a few responses and just clapping at the top of steep hills. Although not as comfy as my Strom, I'm really glad I brought the CRF230L. Quiet, super easy to maneuver, 65-70 mpg economy, room for a half-dozen bottles of water and it was great to stand up to see over hills and make John's borrowed hi-viz vest visible to cars. BTW that vest was a brilliant idea and I wouldn't escort Pelotonia again without wearing hi-viz. At the very least, it tells cars that there's something unusual going on and to pay extra attention. My body is sore this morning from 10 hours in the saddle, but I can't imagine how the bicycle riders feel today, especially the ones making the return trip to downtown Columbus. For some reason the whole event really hit home to me at a moment out in the country side half-way from Pickerington and Mt. Vernon. There was an old guy standing in front of his house and a field of corn, holding a single sign that said "Thank you for saving my wife." I had to vent my helmet for a couple minutes.1 point
