Who cares how far the body was from the car? Irrelevant fact. The sky was blue that day too. Guilty. Dude assaults cop, then runs away... You think the cop isn't going to chase him? You know for proven fact 100 percent that the cop never left the immediate area of his car? I'm interested to see your source for that?2 points

There has been a history of residents complaining that the FPD has been too heavy handed in dealing with residents, and targeted black residents disproportionally. Conversely, there have indications of black residents of Ferguson being less than cooperative with the FPD. This all adds up to lots of tension. Warning the following contains **opinions** read at your own risk. This confrontation started off just like many others in Fergson. Dorian (the friend), said the after the cop said "Get the fuck off the street" he backed up and struck them with the door. Then the door accidentally bounced back and hit the officer. Dorian forgot to mention that they probably just helped an old lady across the street and were signing gospel songs... According to the officer, he tried to exit the vehicle and the door was violently slammed shut on him. He likely just finished rescuing a basket full of puppies and then donated money to your favorite charity... Like most cases the truth is in the middle. You have a A-hole, rule crazy cop and two kids who aren't particularly interested in cooperating with said A-hole cop. The cop intentionally hit them with the door and they intentionally hit him with it back. Cop is pissed that they did not respect his authority and grabs Brown, struggle ensues. Now put yourself in the situation of being in a struggle with someone you don't trust and they are reaching for a gun...what do you do? Try to stop the gun from being pointed at you, right? = The kid reached for my gun...taken out of context than sounds like Brown was attempting to shoot the officer. I'm sure Brown felt was fighting for his life...it turned out he was. Flame on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 point

Probably pulling the trigger on the legacy today. Negotiated via email and got him down to 24k out the door and he's going to meet or beat the 3.26% loan our bank is offering us. Car was listed at $22,760 and taxes alone are $1500 so I don't think we got beaten up too badly...1 point

I haven't heard anyone here mention what effect adrenaline has on either of the people. Once its amped up, it can cause either to do extraordinary things. LIke a person being shot repeatedly and continuing to run, or a shooter so amped up that he'she cannot come down enough to make a consciously smart decision, like feeling threatened by an upclose and in your face fight (for your life) then having the other party take off running while you are still trying to get your shit together. Training or not, when this happens the mind takes over and can cause all sorts of actions to occur, strange as they may be. Another thing I have wondered. Was there ever an established crime scene investigation or was the area compromised because of the emotional responses of bystanders and the like? I cannot imagine having to try and reconstruct a scene like this so it can be critically drawn out to establish what really happened, step by step.1 point

2lb a week is kind of the consensus upper bound for how much (non water) weight you can lose in a week. Your food intake would need to be about 1000 calories below maintenance per day. You might be able to lose a bit more than 2lb/week if you're really big currently. But that wouldn't be sustainable IMO.1 point

I am not justifying. Not making excuses. Don't give a shit about the outcome........ But must also consider he is deaf, his children in car are deaf. I have a deaf friend. Situations like this are different to them. You and I can hear what the crowd is saying, they cannot. My friend reacts differently than I would to group situations too because he has no idea what the crowd is shouting just knows they are by facial and breath movements. He cannot tell if shouts of joy, anger, aggression, welcoming etc. Factor that in with the fact this guy also had his children in car as well. My friend always retreats from crowds because of the unknown. This guy had cars behind and a crowd in front and his kids to think about. We with hearing have no understanding of what that situation was like for him. I can't say that my deaf friend wouldn't have done something similar by the way I've seen him panic. This guy also went straight to a cop as the news said, shows fear, he was looking for a cop. Easy to judge, hard to judge accurately when you've no idea what it's like to be deaf. Carry on.1 point

You also have to take into account Missouri law. Someone had posted it on a firearm forum I read. If I understand it correctly, officers are allowed to use deadly force to take down a felony suspect. Assaulting an officer is a felony. Now you have that whole mix of legislation to dig thru to know if it's justified or not.1 point

TROY BIKE NIGHT IS AT FRICKERS BEGINNING AT EITHER 6 OR 7 DEPENDING ON THE WEEKEND Sorry all, I have been lax on updating this thread the last few weeks and for some reason I am not getting notifications through email. I have been out of town due to a long and much needed vacation that included several weekends at the Dragon and many other TN / NC roads. MotoGP also found more than half of our regular attendees heading to Indy for the event. There is a much better way to communicate immediately with the group and its through Facebook. We have a closed group page there and we are called Apex Addicts. If you want to join the group for regular communication please attend a Bike Night first before requesting admission. We are selective in admission due to keeping out trouble makers on either side of the fence. I will just leave it at that. However, Bike Night will definitely be held this Sunday at Frickers (weather permitting) and we congregate on the patio. I am sorry that a few of you didn't see the change of location listed above and went to BW3's. We left there about a month or so ago due to bad service and a host of other issues definitely NOT created by our group. Their loss, enough said. We will also begin workshops within the next few weeks that will be focused on performance techniques, for those that are interested. We will be covering cornering technique and all that is implied: throttle control, two-step technique / lines / apex, pivot steering, body position, trail braking etc. There are a few in the group that are also extremely proficient in wheelies and some stunting. One, for certain, will get you started and can help you get to the level of 1 mile (or as long as you like) wheelies. This is not a school but our goal is to put very experienced riders, with proven skill sets, together with folks who desire to improve their own skills. You will not get bad advice. You will get proven technique according to machine design needs. If you are interested in people who love riding, motorcycles and have a desire to ever increase skills, then come on out. I will say that we have an extremely diverse and friendly bunch of folks that attend. I will be there this Sunday although I will not be participating in any group rides before meeting at Frickers. I will be flying back from Miami Beach and will PROBABLY not have time to join up with anyone beforehand. Come on out, grab a bite and meet us. We all look forward to meeting new folks! PS - If you have any questions you can send me a direct email at Oblivious936@gmail.com Please include "Bike Night" in the subject or I may delete the message assuming it is spam. Thanks!1 point

Go with the 6-car garage find. Our house has a 3-car, told myself it would take years to fill it....less than a year later I was wanting to add on a 2-car garage. You can NEVER have too much garage1 point

I've been watching the BBQ Pitmasters show on netflix and have been itching to try this. Any tips? Only "smoking" experience I have is liquid smoke in the oven with ribs. Also been looking at two grills at work, this onehttp://www.sears.com/bbq-pro-deluxe-charcoal-grill/p-07123670000P?prdNo=8&blockNo=8&blockType=G8 and one similar to this one, but only $90.xx http://www.sears.com/bbq-pro-barrel-smoker/p-07123669000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1-1 points
