  1. Tiger, I think we are pretty much in agreement here. I have only heard it directly once, from a noob friend of mine. He said....she cut out in front of me, I had to lay it down. I said you mean you locked a tire braking and it went down and you crashed. He was like....Yeah. I called him on it because he was a friend, he needed to admit to himself what happened. This thread is why everyone should have ABS on their bikes.

  2. HD, I love you man...you know that. Please don't ride 2 abreast. Your story is a prefect example of why, but for a split second that second bike would have taken you out. For the rest of you that say these people are intentionally laying their bikes down there is a major flaw in your logic. Thankfully I am here to point it out. For you to be correct, for them to have actually intentionally laid it down the following 2 things must both be true. 1) They are too stupid or don't know enough to know that laying it down is 99.99999 percent of the time the wrong thing to do. Very wrong. 2) They are smart enough about motorcycles and how they work to actually intentionally lay it down. As you can see, both of those can not be true. To know how to lay a bike down means you have to have enough knowledge about how bikes work to do it...having that knowledge means you can't be stupid enough to think it is a good idea. People that are saying this either don't have the balls to say they f'd up or they don't understand what 'lay it down' means.

  5. Crashing to avoid a crash is stupid. Learn how to ride. Maintain proper space and time buffers. Those that 'have to lay it down' are the same 'bikers' that sport Loud Pipes Save Lives bumper stickers on their truck. Don't be an ass-hat biker; be a proficient motorcyclist.

  7. So most of you all have seen my bike around Mid Ohio/ Putnam or in my signature lol in 2012 I had Paul Finn paint my wheels and Andrew Swenson of ASD paint my bodywork for my first every professional paint job...(rattle can did great for years prior) it held up amazingly for 3 years!!!! then I decided to go boom.. in March this year while down at Jennings GP I low sided in turn 13 at a substantial speed.. normally not an issue but the bike hit the sand and tumbled lots of broken parts... I've spend the last 2 months fixing her and getting her ready. I thought about going back to rattle can but just bring myself to do it.. so I called Paul and off they went well he rocked it.. I gave him a little direction and he took it from there.. he matched his paint from 3 years prior and threw in some Pearl white.. after fixing my decently mangled bodywork... some before pics... some wrecked pics... then the good stuff!! I have a few more decals that need applied..(gotta get my HP from somewhere) hope you all like it too! Before! Jennings GP Then the next day i went boom after!!!!!

  9. Don't you know that if you grab the front brake you'll go over the handlebars and die!? So if you have to stop fast you must lock the rear and lay'er down. If you do it hard and fast enough, your friends will have a drunken bar crawl on motorcycles in your honor!

  14. Keep it in reserve till the grandkid breaks the first one unless the company ask for it back between now and then or you receive the shipping label. You told them they haven't acted, my opinion it should default to your favor.

  18. I purchased one bike early last year and attempted to purchase another just weeks ago. I would say to just stay away from them, period. My first purchase I had to haggle with them to get the price to something reasonable after inspecting the bike and then when I got it home and started stripping to prep it for my new race bike it looked like they tried to hide some messed up stuff. You buy as is so if you decide to buy from them you better look over whatever it is very very carefully and then hit them with the facts to drop the price. My second attempt at a purchase was even worse as they would not budge on the price at all. And I was only asking them to drop it $125 (from $1800 to $1675)...so they let me walk over $125. The owners are simply money hungry and their prices are above the market averages. I'll give you an example...a guy was in the store with a brand new tire he bought but was the wrong size. He paid I think it was like $160 for it. The owner (via a phone call with one of the snippy girls working the counter) offered the guy $50 for it. Hell...they want more for half worn out tires on their racks! I get it's a business but they only care about your money.
