  1. Our new twins arrived Tuesday at 2:27 an 2:28 pm and are healthy and loving life already! Wife is good, had an epideral(sp) this time instead of a spinal and well, they forgot to give her the last 1/3(5ml) of medicine due to some OR issues and us getting bumped 3 times before actually going in to deliver. Let's just say when they put her back together, it wasn't good. But on a high note, her recovery has been MUCH better this time, and we actually left the hospital 1 day early due to being put next to some nutcases who were having domestics in their suite and child services there multiple times a day, everyday. Healthy environment for a newborn and for other new mothers. But our 2 year old is taking a liking to them, he is acting out a little more, or that could just be our exhaustion, but overall we are very happy with how they are health wise and how our 2 year old is handling it. Some big changes as this is his last week at a sitter and then it's just home with mom and dad for a while until I figure out my next move. Our babysitter told us she is moving to Cleveland and this Friday is her last day after 1.5 years and childcare is too expensive for us to make sense of it around us so we are planning some career changes it appears. I think I've already made some decisions for the best for our family, not necessarily myself, but the family. After all they come first.

  3. Finally I am back close to the OR family. No more slabbing and iron butting 700+ miles a day to ride Seo roads. Always felt like ohio has my family near by coz of you guys. This might have been a main reason to keep coming back. Almost all decisions I take is influenced by motorcycling and I don't know if I will regret those in future. Job visa other papers still not ready yet, I hope everything falls into its place soon. Till then have some free time to keep riding Am back in Poland ohio, close to Youngstown. If any one in this area looking to go for short jaunts let me know. The slab down route 9 to good roads seems like a dream after slabbing down from Troy michigan This weekend most will be having family obligations, but if any one free to ride please PM me.

  4. My wife rides. She's always AGATT, now has full leathers. Rides a ktm, no fairings, but still very sporty. We live in Hamilton, south of Dayton. I'm sure she wouldn't mind doing a ride like you talk. And we can always host a NKY ride.

  7. I'm awaiting until geeto gets in here and gives us the history of a 68 and a 82. Then explains financially why this was a good or bad move. To be finished up by explaining how a portion of the money spent on the sunroof swap landed in the hands of ISIS. Until then, nice pickup!

  8. I've done it- just put a house in the valve cover, turned it on full blast and started the car. Flushes the carbon right out.

  13. People who are telling you the costs of maintaining the Duc is high aren't educated on the current crop stuff. The intervals and parts costs are in line with the OEM Japanese products out there now these days. So don't fear the people that think it is still 1998... That being said, there are two ways to look at this whole thing. You should first compare the 899 to the 675R and not the standard. They are more in line with one another in terms of price and of course ability. The 675R will have the cool bits like Ohlins and better Brembos than the 899. Better rotors also... The Brembos on the 899 are not the same and are a lower class. HOWEVER... Do not for a moment think it is under powered in braking!!! Just the factual stuff... My personal opinion is that the 899 is a 750 class bike more than the 675R is. But I think the 675R handles like it's on rails. I had a bone stock 675R at Mid-O last week with just slicks and race brake pads. Really an amazing bike and considering a bunch of factors as to why I was slower than normal, the bike was solid. The 899 just has power!!! It handles great as well. I'd say similar and maybe with a tad of tuning it in, it could be really great! They are very similar yet very different. I think they both are hot and I think they both will reward you. I think both sound amazing. The triple is great with a system or slip-on. The 899 sounds mean as all get out even with the stock mufflers. It's all what YOU want. Ride both back to back and see what YOU think. I would say they both will amaze you.

  16. So my S4 is ready and they are in process of prepping it to come down the 6hr drive. They were not able to get a clear bra installer to complete the job this week and are giving me the money off the deal which is fine. That said, I want to make sure that the car doesnt get any chips or road rash, etc. on the trip down. The dealer is open to prepping the painted metal surfaces only with Blue Masking tape prior to their driver leaving. With the car being black, will using the tape for a 6hr drive hurt anything or will it remove pretty easily? What impact will rain have if any? I know a lot of you guys use it for autocross. Thoughts?
