  1. Work my ass off to afford what I want.

  2. No kids, no school loans to pay for, and dual income goes a long way. Me and my wife have worked our asses off through the years. We both put in overtime, and I do a lot of side work too. A lot of my summer free time is spent working in my barn on other peoples stuff, so we can have more expendable cash. There was a time were I couldn't afford more than a $3000 car, or a beater car and a $2500 bike. I have expensive hobbies, and me and my wife wanted to enjoy life, so we worked towards being able to do that. We live comfortably now, but we still push every day to make more money and do better. I set a goal each year to make more money than the previous. We have accomplished that every year. And every year I raise my 401k contribution and contribution to my savings. The more we make the more we spend, but also the more we put back.

  3. I still firmly believe that the choice is this or not in my lifetime. Maybe not in yours. But I get drawing the line, that's why I write in Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian for president each year. We all have our line in the sand.

  6. My neighbor, Scott has worked for Pulte for sure, and possibly Ryan before that. He's still in the industry, but I've lost track of who he works for. I can contact him if you'd like, but I'm not sure his insight will be any better than those who have posted here. He's going to have a more educated opinion on construction quality in general, but I can't foresee him really providing much more information than the 'reputation issues' people are already throwing out there. Any builder is going to want to maximize profits. Showing up frequently so they can't sneak anything by you is probably the most important thing, but making the builders love you doesn't hurt either. Show up with coffee and doughnuts, or a 6' subway sandwich and some drinks, then chat it up with the fellas or foreman while they eat. Maybe you're just wasting $60, but maybe they remember how nice you were to them when they're about to cover up a mistake rather than fixing it. Every time I have held a labor job, I have had 2 types of coworkers - the type I would actually want doing the job if I were buying the product/service, and the guys he supervises or tolerates... The latter are just earning a check, and can typically be bought, literally, and/or metaphorically, with favors.

  9. The nice thing is they are easy to flip for a nice profit. Basically doubled my house, lot and garage size for the same mortgage payment I was paying on that prefab The taxes however are a different story

  12. The language reads: "One additional growth facility may be allowed for in four years only if existing facilities cannot meet consumer demand" Here it is if anyone wants to read it. http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/upload/ballotboard/2015/3-language.pdf

  13. Not this hippy. I know the media either lies or just don't know any better. They are selling you another bad deal just like the casino deal. NO on issue 3. I'm already anticipating the thread where all the people who voted for issue 3 will be pissing and moaning about how the law isn't what they thought it would be.Of course, that will be five years and millions of taxpayer dollars after all the legal b.s. if issue 2 passes.

  16. Absolutely not. Issue 2 is a lame ass bullshit attempt by the Republicans to bypass the will of the voters when we pass Issue 3. How the hell can 10 monopolies be bad when 4 were great for the casinos? I hope you are trolling.

  17. I hate republican and democrat labels. Ask anyone who claims to be one or the other to define either and they'll spew ideologies that could be descriptions of either side depending on their conservative or liberal slant. Voting for someone because of the label they use is ignorant. Sorry...a little off topic. Back on topic, vote yes on issue 3

  19. I turbo'd my rx8.. prior to that it was 24ish mixed.. after a Cobb tune it was 22ish.. then the turbo and I was around 17 to 18. . But you don't buy a car like thay for gas mileage.. it was seriously the second best handling car I had ever driven. The first was a lotus exige S. Wasn't fast.. of course it wasn't meant to be.. but it handled on rails.
